Abstract

The rapid process of human development and growth occurs at the age of 0–6 years. Especially when reaching the age of 3-5 years, children's physical-motor development is one of the most important things to pay attention to. Delayed physical-motor development at this age will result in the child's inability to properly control the nerves and muscles to perform the movements needed to carry out their daily activities, such as holding a spoon, buttoning their clothes, holding pens or crayons, drawing, and so on. Therefore, a medium is needed to stimulate children's physical-motor skills, especially their fine motor skills. To achieve this goal, a combination of constructive and puzzle games is being utilized. In addition to helping stimulate fine motor skills, this game also develops children's cognitive abilities through problem solving. The application of the Montessori method in game play is an application to teaching children independence. Children will experience difficulties in the process of playing and learning, then overcome them on their own without the intervention of parents or educators. Keywords: Physical-motor, Fine Motor, Montessori, Constructive, Puzzle Proses perkembangan dan pertumbuhan manusia yang sangat pesat terjadi pada usia 0-6 tahun. Secara khusus ketika memasuki usia 3- 5 tahun, perkembangan fisik-motorik anak menjadi hal pertama yang perlu diperhatikan. Ketelambatan perkembangan fisik-motorik anak pada usia ini akan mengakibatkan ketidakmampuan anak dalam mengontrol syaraf dan otot untuk melakukan gerakan yang diperlukan untuk melakukan aktivitasnya sehari-hari, seperti memegang sendok, mengancingi baju, menggenggam pensi/krayon, menggambar, dan sebagainya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dibutuhkan suatu media untuk menstimulasi kemampuan fisikmotorik anak, secara khusus kemampuan motorik halusnya. Untuk menggapai tujuan tersebut makan digunakanlah permainan kombinasi konstruktif dan puzzle. Selain membantu menstimulasi motorik halus, permainan ini juga membantu meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak dengan cara penyelesaian masalah. Penerapan metode Montessori dalam permainan, merupakan upaya mengajarkan kemandirian pada anak. Anak akan mengalami kesulitan dalam proses bermain dan belajar, lalu mengatasinya sendiri tanpa campur tangan orangtua atau pendidik.
