Abstract
PT Usaha Saudara Mandiri is one of the manufacturing industries that produces ready-to-use heating elements that are commonly used for the needs of industries in Indonesia. In the Catridge Heater production line, there are eight machines used in production, namely filling machines, centerless grinding machines, swaging machines, sandblasting machines, marking machines, electric welding machines, cutting grinding machines, and polishing machines. Based on the data obtained, the swaging machine has the highest breakdown frequency, which is 15 times the damage. Which, according to this author, certainly has a high enough correlation to the downtime experienced by the swaging machine. This study aims to see the extent of the effects caused by the amount of damage experienced by the swaging machine by using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method and to continue the calculation of Six Big Losses to find out what factors are the cause of the damage to the swaging machine. Which then becomes a reference material for making recommendations for repairs for the swaging machine based on the tools available in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). After calculating the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), the average Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value of the swaging machine in the January 2021 period was 68%. After further analysis by calculating the value of Six Big Losses related to the lack of value of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) on the swaging machine, one factor was obtained, namely Reduced Speed losses. With the value of Reduced Speed losses itself is 68%. Keywords: Swaging machine, Cartridge heater, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Six Big Losses. PT Usaha Saudara Mandiri merupakan salah satu industri manufaktur yang memproduksi alat elemen pemanas siap pakai yang biasa digunakan untuk kebutuhan industri-industri di Indonesia. Pada lini produksi Catridge Heater, terdapat delapan mesin yang digunakan dalam berproduksi yaitu mesin filling, mesin centerless grinding, mesin swaging, mesin sandblasting, mesin marking, mesin las listrik, mesin gerinda potong, dan mesin polishing. Berdasarkan diagram pada Gambar 1 mesin swaging memiliki frekuensi breakdown paling tinggi yaitu sebesar 15 kali kerusakan. Yang mana menurut penulis ini tentunya mempunyai korelasi yang cukup tinggi terhadap terjadinya downtime yang dialami terhadap mesin swaging. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat sejauh mana efek yang ditimbulkan dari banyaknya kerusakan yang dialami oleh mesin swaging dengan menggunakan metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) serta melanjutkan perhitungan Six Big Losses untuk mengetahui faktor apa yang menjadi penyebab kerusakan mesin swaging. Yang kemudian hal tersebut menjadi bahan acuan untuk melakukan rekomendasi perbaikan untuk mesin swaging berdasarkan tools-tools yang ada pada Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Setelah dilakukan perhitungan Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), didapat rata-rata nilai Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) mesin swaging pada periode bulan Januari 2021 adalah sebesar 68%. Setelah dilakukan analisa lebih lanjut dengan menghitung nilai dari Six Big Losses terkait dengan kurangnya nilai dari Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) pada mesin swaging didapatkan satu faktor yaitu Reduced Speed losses. Dengan nilai dari Reduced Speed losses itu sendiri adalah sebesar 68%.
