Abstract

The led to the development of a mature industry competition is open to national and international scale, manufacturing and service industries growing very rapidly. The quality of the resulting product is one of the major points to compete in the business world. PT. Asuransi Cigna, is one of the multinational insurance companies that sell a variety of products focused life insurance and health insurance to the segmentation of customers who have a credit card or savings card. Products offered to customers as a Business Partner insurance product or bundled with products sold by the Business Partner. Phase of the study began with the identification of the problem (Define), prepare the data and map the process in detail (Measure), use the data to calculate the value of the conversion process capability and DPMO to sigma value through map control NP (Analysis), provide suggestions for improvement in minimizing the amount of defect (Improvement), as well as finding the right method to preserve and maintain the proposed improvement (Control). From these results, it is found that the most influential factors is contained in the process / method of data upload. It can be seen through a Pareto diagram where most complaints arise because of data errors during the upload / register a new policy to the core system. From DPMO calculations using the data 205 complaints and defects in the last 3 months in 2012 (5 characteristics), obtained a value of 9756, then the Sigma level = 4 σ. The results recommend the revitalization of a new information system with comprehensive validation, establish procedures documentation standards among related parties (external & internal) and establish coordination among stakeholders, with an estimated time of as much as 5 months (1 month of preparation, 3 months of implementation) in three stages. Keywords : Six Sigma, DMAIC, Information System Perkembangan industri dewasa ini menyebabkan persaingan yang terbuka dalam skala nasional maupun internasional, sektor industri manufaktur dan jasa berkembang dengan sangat pesat. Kualitas dari produk yang dihasilkan merupakan salah satu poin utama jika ingin berkompetisi di dunia bisnis. PT. Asuransi Cigna, merupakan salah satu perusahaan asuransi multinasional yang berfokus menjual beragam produk asuransi jiwa & asuransi kesehatan kepada segmentasi nasabah yang memiliki kartu kredit atau kartu tabungan. Produk ditawarkan kepada pelanggan Mitra Usaha sebagai produk asuransi atau digabungkan dengan produk yang dijual oleh Mitra Usaha. Tahap penelitian ini dimulai dengan identifikasi masalah (Define), menyiapkan data dan memetakan proses secara rinci (Measure), menggunakan data tersebut untuk menghitung kapabilitas proses dan nilai konversi DPMO ke nilai sigma melalui Peta control NP (Analysis), memberikan usulan perbaikan dalam meminimalisasi jumlah defect (Improvement), serta mencari metode yang tepat dalam menjaga dan mempertahankan usulan perbaikan (Control). Dari hasil penelitian ini, didapat bahwa faktor yang paling berpengaruh yaitu terdapat pada proses/metode data upload. Hal ini dapat dilihat melalui diagram pareto dimana keluhan paling banyak muncul karena kesalahan data pada saat proses upload/registrasi polis baru ke core system. Dari perhitungan DPMO menggunakan 205 data keluhan dan defect pada 3 bulan terakhir pada tahun 2012 (5 karakteristik), didapat nilai sebesar 9756, maka level Sigma-nya = 4 σ. Hasil penelitian merekomendasikan revitalisasi sistem informasi baru yang dilengkapi dengan validasi komprehensif, menetapkan standar prosedur & dokumentasi antar pihak terkait (eksternal dan internal) dan membangun koordinasi antar stakeholder, dengan estimasi waktu sebanyak 5 bulan (1 bulan persiapan, 3 bulan implementasi) dalam tiga tahapan.
