Abstract

ABSTRACT The transportation service industry in Indonesia has developed quite rapidly. Inventory control is still not good, it was found that the problem of spare parts over stock was 77% of the standard value set by the company is 20%. To solve the problem of overstock, the forecasting method of inventory inventory management is suitable for this study, namely using double moving average (DMA). The purpose of this research for the company is to prove the proposed effective inventory method to the company to exploit inventory costs. The research was carried out on Radiator materials. The optimal inventory planning system uses the Fixed Period Requirements (FPR) method, ordering with the lot size provides the smallest cost for the ordering and storage process by 47% when compared to conventional methods used by the company, and can provide an overview of when to order and how many will be ordered per period. Keywords: Earnings rate, Forecasting, EOQ, FPR, Overstock ix ABSTRAK Industri jasa transportasi di Indonesia mengalami perkembangan yang cukup pesat. Pengendalian inventory masih belum baik, ditemukan masalah overstock suku cadang sebesar 77% dari nilai standar yang ditentukan perusahaan adalah 20%. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan overstock maka dalam pengelolaan persediaan inventory metode forecasting yang cocok pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan double moving average (DMA) dengan nilai MSE terkecil 2,466. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk perusahaan adalah membuktikan usulan metode persediaan yang efektif kepada perusahaan untuk memanilisasi biaya persediaan. Riset dilakukan pada materia Radiato Mobil. Sistem perencanaan inventory optimal menggunakan metode Fixed Period Requirements (FPR), pengorderan dengan lot size tersebut memberikan biaya terkecil pada proses pemesanan dan penyimpanannya sebesar 47% jika dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional yang dilakukan perusahaan, serta dapat memberikan gambaran kapan waktu pengorderan dilakukan dan berapa jumlah yang akan diorder per periodenya.
