Abstract
PT. Farfath Sukses Mandiri is a company engaged in screen printing and packaging printing as well as a provider of products for food and beverage business needs. Companies are also required to maintain the quality of their products in order to compete with other manufacturers by minimizing product defects. In the process of producing screen printing plastic cups at PT. Farfath Sukses Mandiri still has many defects, these types of defects are the result of the screen printing being illegible, the color of the screen printing is not appropriate, and the plastic cup is damaged. The purpose of this study is to find the largest type of defect that occurs and determine the cause of the defect using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) method on six sigma. The results of data processing will produce a proposal and improvement solution as well as process control so that the results of the improvement can improve product quality and provide an advantage for the company. Keywords: Quality, Defect, Six Sigma, DMAIC PT. Farfath Sukses Mandiri merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang sablon dan percetakan kemasan (packaging) serta penyedia produk kebutuhan usaha makanan dan minuman. Perusahaan juga dituntut untuk menjaga kualitas produknya agar dapat bersaing dengan produsen lainnya dengan cara meminimalisir defect produk. Dalam proses produksi plastic cup sablon di PT. Farfath Sukses Mandiri masih terdapat banyak defect yang dihasilkan, jenis defect tersebut adalah hasil sablon tidak terbaca, warna sablon tidak sesuai, dan plastic cup rusak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mencari jenis defect terbesar yang terjadi dan mengetahui penyebab terjadinya defect dengan menggunakan metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) pada six sigma. Hasil dari pengolahan data tersebut akan menghasilkan suatu usulan dan solusi perbaikan serta proses control agar hasil dari perbaikan bisa meningkatkan kualitas produk dan memberikan suatu keuntungan bagi perusahaan.
