Abstract

ABSTRAK Judul : ANALISIS BETON GEOPOLYMER BERBAHAN DASAR LIMBAH FLY ASH PLTU LONTAR DENGAN VARIASI MOLARITAS AKTIVATOR (NAOH) Nama : Dapit Bawono NIM : 41119310007 Pembimbing : Dr. Resmi Bestari Muin, M.S., 2023 Suhu rata-rata permukaan bumi meningkat 0.74 ± 0.18° C selama seratus tahun terakhir yang disebabkan salah satunya oleh carbon dioksida (CO₂) sebanyak 65%, dan dari total emisi CO2 tersebut, sekitar 6% berasal dari industri semen, karena setiap produksi satu ton Clinker semen mengakibatkan terjadinya pelepasan karbon dioksida (CO₂) sebesar satu ton ke atmosfir. Beton geopolymer tidak menggunakan semen sama sekali dalam campurannya. Sebagai gantinya digunakan bahan yang mengandung silika dan alumina yang salah satunya terdapat dalam fly ash, kemudian diaktifkan oleh alkali (sodium hidroksida dan sodium silikat) untuk dapat dijadikan bahan pengikat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi molaritas aktivator NaOH terhadap workability, setting time dan kuat tekan beton geopolymer. Penelitian ini menggunakan fly ash dari PLTU Lontar dengan perbandingan NaOH : Na2SiO3 sebesar 1:1,5 kemudian NaOH divariasikan dengan tingkat konsentrasi 5 Molar, 8 Molar, 11 Molar dan 14 Molar. Dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa tingkat molaritas aktivator (NaOH) mempengaruhi workability (nilai slump) beton, dimana semakin tinggi tingkat molaritas aktivator (NaOH) maka workability beton akan semakin rendah (nilai slump turun), semakin tinggi tingkat molaritas aktivator (NaOH) maka waktu ikat beton akan semakin melambat, semakin tinggi tingkat molaritas aktivator (NaOH) maka kuat tekan beton akan semakin tinggi dan variasi yang paling optimum adalah geopolymer NaOH 14 Molar dengan nilai slump 15 cm, waktu ikat awal 90 menit, waktu ikat akhir 203 menit dan kuat tekan umur 28 hari 54.60 MPa Kata Kunci: Beton Geopolymer, Fly Ash, Green Concrete, Slump, Setting Time, Kuat Tekan ABSTRACT Title : ANALYSIS OF GEOPOLYMER CONCRETE BASED ON FLY ASH WASTE OF PLTU LONTAR WITH ACTIVATOR MOLARITY VARIATION (NAOH) Name : Dapit Bawono NIM : 41119310007 Advisor : Dr. Resmi Bestari Muin, M.S., 2023 The average temperature of the earth's surface has increased by 0.74 ± 0.18° C over the past hundred years, which is caused by one of them, carbon dioxide (CO2), by as much as 65%, and of the total CO2 emissions, around 6% come from the cement industry because every one ton of production Cement clinker resulted in the release of one tonne of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere. Geopolymer concrete does not use any cement in its mixture. Instead, materials containing silica and alumina are used, one of which is found in fly ash, which is then activated by alkali (sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate) to be used as a binder. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the molarity of the NaOH activator on the workability, setting time, and compressive strength of geopolymer concrete. This study used fly ash from PLTU Lontar with a ratio of NaOH:Na2SiO3 of 1:1.5, then the NaOH was varied with concentration levels of 5 molar, 8 molar, 11 molar, and 14 molar. From this study, it is known that the level of activator molarity (NaOH) affects the workability (slump value) of concrete, where the higher the level of activator molarity (NaOH), the workability of the concrete will be lower (the slump value decreases), the higher the activator molarity level (NaOH), the time of concrete bonding will be slower, the higher the activator molarity (NaOH) level, the compressive strength of the concrete will be higher, and the most optimum variation is geopolymer NaOH 14 Molar with a slump value of 15 cm, initial setting time of 90 minutes, final setting time of 203 minutes, and strong press age of 28 days 54.60 MPa Keywords: Geopolymer Concrete, Fly Ash, Green Concrete, Slump, Setting Time, Compresive Strenght
