Abstract

The Jakarta - Merak KM 43 (Balaraja) toll road rest area is the rest area that has the largest area among the other 2 rest areas, this causes many motorists to choose this location to rest or just refuel. Due to the large number of motorists who come, there is a buildup of vehicles at certain hours. The purpose of this research is to find out how parking characteristics and parking needs for the next 5, 10, 20 years at the Jakarta - Merak KM 43 (Balaraja) toll road rest area. So it is hoped that this research can be useful for all parties in need. In this study using methods by means of observation. The observation method is a method used by conducting surveys directly in the field or research location. This is absolutely necessary because it aims to find out the actual conditions. The survey method carried out in this study is the method of recording the number of vehicles, by recording the vehicle license plate. The largest parking accumulation results on Monday, May 08, 2023 for small cars were 89 vehicles which occurred at 09:30-09:45 WIB, while for large cars were 53 vehicles which occurred at 20:00-20:15 WIB. The average duration of vehicle parking is 16 minutes for small cars and 18 minutes for large cars. The largest parking index occurred on Monday, May 08, 2023 for small cars of 44.50% occurred at 09.30-09.45 WIB while for large cars 53% occurred at 20.00-20.15 WIB. The largest parking turnover for small cars and large cars has the same value of 12 vehicles / SRP / observation time occurred on Monday, May 08, 2023. The need for parking spaces in the coming year cannot be accommodated in the next 20 years, based on a vehicle growth rate of 4.2%. Keywords: Parking Space Characteristics, Parking Volume, Parking Accumulation, Parking Index, Parking Duration and PTO, Parking Demand, Toll Rest Area Rest area tol Jakarta – Merak KM 43 (Balaraja) merupakan rest area yang memiliki luas paling besar diantara 2 rest area lainya, hal ini menyebabkan banyaknya pengendara memilih lokasi ini untuk berisitrahat ataupun sekedar mengisi bahan bakar. Dikarenakan banyaknya pengendara yang datang menyebabkan terjadinya penumpukan kendaraan pada jam tertentu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah mengetahui bagaimana karakteristik parkir dan mengetahui kebutuhan parkir untuk 5, 10, 20 tahun mendatang pada Rest area tol Jakarta – Merak KM 43 (Balaraja). Sehingga diharapkan dari penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat bagi semua pihak yang membutuhkan. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode dengan cara observasi. Metode Observasi adalah sebuah metode yang digunakan dengan cara melakukan survei secara langsung kelapangan atau lokasi penelitian. Hal ini mutlak untuk dilakukan karena bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi yang sebenarnya. Adapaun metode survei yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini ialah metode pencatatan jumlah kendaraan, dengan mencatat plat nomor polisi kendaraan. Hasil dari akumulasi parkir terbesar pada hari Senin, 08 Mei 2023 untuk mobil kecil sebanyak 89 kendaraan yang terjadi pada pukul 09:30-09:45 WIB, sedangkan untuk mobil besar sebanyak 53 kendaraan yang terjadi pada pukul 20:00-20:15 WIB. Durasi rata-rata parkir kendaraan 16 menit untuk mobil kecil dan 18 menit untuk mobil besar. Indeks parkir terbesar terjadi pada hari Senin, 08 Mei 2023 untuk mobil kecil sebesar 44,50% terjadi pada pukul 09:30-09:45 WIB sedangkan untuk mobil kecil sebesar 53% terjadi pada pukul 20:00-20.15 WIB. Pergantian Parkir (turn over parking) terbesar untuk mobil kecil dan mobil besar memiliki nilai yang sama adalah 12 kendaraan/SRP/waktu pengamatan terjadi pada hari Senin, 08 Mei 2023. Kebutuhan ruang parkir tahun mendatang tidak dapat menampung terjadi pada 20 tahun mendatang, berdasarkan nilai pertumbuhan kendaraan 4,2%.
