Abstract
Hospitals are important and vital facilities for the Indonesian community. In emergency situations such as earthquakes, the need for urgent healthcare increases as many people suffer from injuries and wounds. Therefore, it is crucial for hospitals to have safe and earthquake-resistant buildings. One essential element in the seismic design of hospital buildings is the shearwall, a vertically reinforced structure designed specifically to withstand lateral forces. Shearwalls play a role in stabilizing the building structure and preventing collapse during strong vibrations, such as earthquakes. In shearwall design, factors such as strength, structural stability, and optimal placement need to be considered. Shearwalls should be capable of withstanding lateral forces from various earthquake directions and ensuring the safety and comfort of building occupants. In the design of building structures, shearwalls have an important role in ensuring safety and resilience against earthquakes. Placing shearwalls near the building's center of mass provides advantages, resulting in smaller horizontal displacements. Several studies have shown that symmetric shearwall placement on the XY-axis, close to the center of mass, is considered optimal in dual-system building structures. In this final project, it was found that the placement of the 3rd model was the best in terms of all considerations from checking the behavior of the structure. Keywords:earthquakes, shearwalls, structural strength, Software. Rumah sakit merupakan fasilitas penting yang vital bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Dalam situasi darurat seperti gempa bumi, kebutuhan akan perawatan kesehatan yang mendesak meningkat, karena banyak orang yang mengalami luka dan cedera. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi rumah sakit untuk memiliki bangunan yang aman dan tahan gempa. Salah satu elemen penting dalam desain bangunan rumah sakit yang tahan gempa adalah shearwall, yaitu struktur vertikal berupa dinding bertulang yang dirancang khusus untuk menahan gaya lateral. Shearwall berperan dalam menstabilkan struktur bangunan dan mencegah keruntuhan saat terjadi guncangan kuat seperti gempa bumi. Dalam desain shearwall, perlu mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor seperti kekuatan, kestabilan struktur, dan posisi penempatan yang optimal. Shearwall harus mampu menahan gaya lateral dari berbagai arah gempa bumi dan memastikan keamanan serta kenyamanan bagi penghuni bangunan. Dalam perancangan bangunan gedung, shearwall memiliki peran penting dalam memastikan keamanan dan ketahanan terhadap gempa bumi. Penempatan shearwall dekat dengan pusat massa bangunan memberikan keuntungan dengan nilai simpangan horizontal yang lebih kecil. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penempatan shearwall pada sumbu-XY simetris mendekati pusat massa dinilai optimal dalam struktur gedung sistem ganda. Pada tugas akhir ini, didapatkan penempatan model ke 3 lah yang paling baik dilihat dari semua pertimbangan dari pengecekkan perilaku struktur.
