Abstract
Wind turbines as one of the potential energy generators to overcome the problem of electricity demand in remote areas and do not get electricity supply from PLN. A wind power plant is a new renewable energy (EBT) power plant that utilizes wind turbine rotation to convert wind energy into electrical energy. In this study, the authors conducted a field test on the beach of Tanjung Pasir, Tangerang Regency, Banten In an eight-blade spiral Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (TASH) with the aim of investigating and verifying the performance of TASH with a diameter of 1.536 m. TASH performance is assessed with measured parameters such as voltage, current, torque value and turbine shaft rotation measured simultaneously at each applied wind speed. Measurements were made at variations in wind speed between 1 m/s to 6 m/s. From the results of the field test, it can be analyzed the non-dimensional values of the TASH performance parameters, namely the power coefficient, Cp , torque coefficient, Ct and Tip Speed Ratio, TSR. Field test results show that: • Actual experimental power = 7.152 Watt, and • torque value = 11.65 Nm at a wind speed of 5.0 m/s Keywords: EBT; TASH Spiral Blade; power coefficient Cp; torque coefficient Ct ; Tip Speed Ratio; Turbin angin sebagai salah satu pembangkit energi yang sangat potensial untuk mengatasi masalah kebutuhan energi listrik di daerah terpencil dan tidak mendapatkan suplai energi listrik dari PLN. Pembangkit listrik tenaga bayu adalah pembangkit listrik energi baru terbarukan (EBT) yang memanfaatkan putaran turbin angin untuk mengkonversi energi angin menjadi energi listrik. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis melakukan uji lapangan di tepi pantai Tanjung Pasir, Kabupaten Tangerang, Banten Pada Turbin Angin Sumbu Horizontal (TASH) spiral delapan bilah dengan tujuan untuk menyelidiki dan memferifikasi unjuk kerja TASH berdiameter 1,536 m. Kinerja TASH dinilai dengan parameter terukur seperti, tegangan, arus, nilai torsi dan putaran poros turbin diukur bersamaan pada setiap kecepatan angin yang diapplikasikan. Pengukuran dilakukan pada variasi kecepatan angin antara 1 m/s sampai dengan 6 m/s. Dari hasil uji lapangan tersebut dapat dianalisa nilai non dimensional parameter kinerja TASH,yaitu koefisen daya,Cp , koefisen torsi,Ct dan Tip Speed Ratio, TSR. Hasil uji lapangan menunjukkan bahwa: • Daya aktual eksperimen = 7,152 Watt, dan • nilai torsi = 11,65 Nm pada kecepatan angin 5,0 m/s Kata kunci: EBT ;TASH Bilah Spiral;koefisien daya Cp; koefisien torsi Ct ; Tip Speed Ratio;
