Abstract
The problem of population growth in urban areas which is not balanced with land that is increasingly narrow to function as a residence becomes a major problem almost in every major city in Indonesia. Another factor that occurs in urban areas is the high rate of urbanization and the increasing demand for urban housing. From the problems above, a vertical building solution emerged in the urban area due to the problem of the depletion of land availability. Flats are a vertical building solution for the lower middle class because unit prices are more affordable than apartments or condos. Construction of flats can of course also lead to the opening of urban space so that it becomes more relieved and in this case also helps the rejuvenation of the city, neat, clean, and orderly. Keywords : Own Flat, Cheap, Energy Saving Permasalahan pertumbuhan penduduk di daerah perkotaan yang tidak seimbang dengan lahan yang semakin sempit untuk difungsikan sebagai hunian menjadi masalah utama hamper di setiap kota – kota besar di Indonesia. Factor lain yang terjadi di perkotaan adalah tingginya lajur urbanisasi yang tinggi dan mengakibatkan kebutuhan hunian di perkotaan semakin bertambah. Dari permasalahan di atas lan muncul solusi bangunan vertical di kawasan kota karena permasalahan menipisnya ketersediaan lahan. Rumah susun adalah solusi bangunan vertical untuk kaum menengah ke bawah karena harga unit lebih terjangkau dibandingkan apartemen atau kondominium. Pembangunan rumah susun tentunya juga dapat mengakibatkan terbukannya ruang kota sehingga menjadi lebih lega dan dalam hal ini juga membantu adanya peremajaan dari kota, rapih, bersih, dan teratur. Kata Kunci : Rumah Susun Milik, Murah, Hemat Energi
