Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the differences in stock prices and transaction volume in the building construction’s sub-sector before and after the national announcement of the first Covid-19 case. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study amount 18 companies in the construction subsector. Determination of sample size using sensus techniques get all of entire population. The data collection method was obtained from IDX in the 24 days period before and after the announcement of Covid-19. Methods of data analysis using normality test, descriptive statistics, and paired t-test. The results showed that there were differences in stock prices before and after Covid-19. The stock price prior to the announcement of Covid-19 decreased from IDR 10,717 per share to IDR 7,007 per share. The volume of stock transactions is the difference before and after the announcement of Covid-19. Transaction volume after the announcement of Covid-19 shares increased from 147,193,252 shares to 247,258,873 shares. Keywords: Covid-19, Stock Price, Stock Transaction Volume Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis perbedaan harga saham dan volume transaksi sub sektor konstruksi bangunan sebelum dan sesudah pengumuman nasional kasus pertama Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan sub sektor kontruksi berjumlah 18 perusahaan. Penentuan ukuran sampel menggunakan teknik sensus yaitu mengambil keseluruhan populasi. Metode pengumpulan data didapat dari IDX pada periode 24 hari sebelum dan setelah pengumuman Covid-19. Metode analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, statistik deskriptif, dan uji paired ttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan harga saham sebelum dan sesudah Covid-19. Harga saham sesudah pengumuman Covid-19 mengalami penurunan dari Rp 10.717 per lembar saham menjadi Rp 7.007 per lembar saham. Volume transaksi saham terdapat perbedaan sebelum dan setelah pengumuman Covid19. Volume transaksi saham setelah pengumuman Covid-19 mengalami kenaikan dari 147.193.252 lembar saham menjadi 247.258.873 lembar saham. Kata Kunci: Covid-19, Harga Saham, Volume Transaksi Saham
