Abstract

His study aims to obtain empirical evidence of the effect of current ratio (CR), debt to equity ratio (DER), gross profit margin (GPM) and total asset turnover (TATO) on profit growth. The population in this study is retail trade sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2016-2019. The sample selection technique uses a saturated sampling method and obtained 17 companies that were included with a period of 4 years so that 68 samples were observed. The method of data analysis in this study is panel data regression using Eviews 10 software. The results of this study indicate that partially Debt to Equity variables have a significant effect on Profit Growth, while the, Current Ratio, Gross Profit Margin and Total Asset Turnover variables have not a significant effect on Profit Growth. Keyword : Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity (DER), Gross Profit Margin (GPM) dan Total Asset Turnover (TATO), Profit Growth Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bukti empiris pengaruh current ratio (CR), debt to equity ratio (DER), gross profit margin (GPM) dan total asset turnover (TATO) terhadap pertumbuhan laba. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah perusahaan subsektor perdagangan eceran yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2016-2019. Teknik pemilihan sampel menggunakan metode purposive samping dan diperoleh 17 perusahaan yang disertakan dengan kurun waktu 4 tahun sehingga terdapat 68 sampel yang diobservasi. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi data panel dengan menggunakan software Eviews 10. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa secara parsial variabel Debt to Equity berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap Pertumbuhan Laba, sedangkan pada variabel Current Ratio, Gross Profit Margin dan Total Asset Turnover tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap Pertumbuhan Laba.
