Abstract

Heterogenitas pialang-pialang yang tergabung dalam organisasi pialang asusransi membawa nilai-nilai yang telah terbentuk, sehingga dalam dirinya telah terbentuk sistem internal yang berpengaruh terhadap caranya berkomunikasi. Komunikasi melibatkan suatu variasi saling berhubungan yang kompleks yang tidak pernah ada duplikat dalam cara yang sama. Pentingnya komunikasi internal disadari pada organisasi profesi seperti pialang asuransi. Tanggungjawab pialang asuransi pada Perusahaan pialang asuransi PT. Talisman Insurance Brokers sangat penting dalam memberikan solusi yang tepat untuk para kliennya. Penelitian didasarkan dengan pertanyaan penelitian bagaimana pengalaman serta bentuk-bentuk komunikasi pialang asuransi. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis dengan metode penelitian fenomenologi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sebagai alat analisis, digunakan teori Pertunjukkan Komunikasi milik O’Daniell-Trujillo dan teori fenonemologi Alfred Schutz guna mengungkap motif “sebab” (because of motive) dan motif “tujuan” (In-order-to Motive) dari para pialang asuransi. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian yang dingin dicapai adalah untuk mengetahui fenomena komunikasi kemudian untuk mengetahui gambaran, bentuk dan proses komunikasi pialang asuransi PT. Talisman Insurance Brokers. Fenomena komunikasi yang tampak memberikan gambaran seorang pialang saling berinteraksi dengan pialang lainnya dalam memenuhi tugas dan tanggung jawag dari seorang pialang asuransi. Peran dan tugas yang dijalankan secara terpisah yakni peranan sebagai Marketing, Placement dan Claims kemudian didukung oleh pengalaman serta jam terbang memampukan para pialang untuk bersatu padu dalam mengemban tugas dan tanggungjawab baik mengambil peran sebagai individu (karyawan) yang bekerja pada satu perusahaan maupun sebagai professional yang tetap menurut kepada kode etik profesi dan asosiasi. Kemudian yang ketiga adalah untuk mengetahui dan menggambarkan pengalaman sadar pialang asuransi dalam perusahaan pialang asuransi PT. Talisman Insurance Brokers serta mengungkap pemaknaannya. Menungkapkan kesadaran para pialang yang bekerja serta motifnya bekerja di sebuah perusahaan pialang asuransi. Kata Kunci: Komunikasi Organisasi, Pialang Asuransi, Komunikasi Formal- Informal, Fenomena Komunikasi. The research is based on the research question of how the experience and forms of the phenomenon of insurance broker communication. This research uses a constructivist paradigm with a phenomenological research method with a qualitative approach. As an analytical tool, O'Daniell-Trujillo's Communication Performance theory and Alfred Schutz's phenonemology theory were used to uncover the because of motive and in-order-to motive of the insurance brokers. The purpose of the cold research is to find out the phenomenon of communication then to find out the description, form and process of communication of insurance brokers of PT Talisman Insurance Brokers. The communication phenomenon that appears gives a picture of a broker interacting with other brokers in fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of an insurance broker. The roles and duties that are carried out separately, namely the role of Marketing, Placement and Claims, then supported by experience and flight hours enable brokers to be united in carrying out their duties and responsibilities both taking on the role of an individual (employee) who works for one company and as a professional who remains in accordance with the professional code of ethics and association. Then the third is to know and describe the conscious experience of insurance brokers in the insurance brokerage company PT Talisman Insurance Brokers and reveal its meaning. Reveal the awareness of the brokers who work and their motives for working in an insurance brokerage company.
