Abstract

Aktivitas Public Relations (PR) di perusahaan memiliki pengaruh yang luas terhadap perilaku publik, melibatkan berbagai stakeholders seperti atasan, bawahan, pemegang saham, karyawan, distributor, dan konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis aktivitas PR dalam mempertahankan citra positif perusahaan, serta faktor-faktor yang mendukung atau menghambat komunikasi manajemen di Trans TV. Public Relations (PR) adalah fungsi manajemen yang membangun hubungan baik antara organisasi dan publiknya. Kegiatan PR penting dalam menciptaka n suasana yang menyenangkan di perusahaan, memfasilitasi komunikasi yang akrab antara karyawan dan manajemen, serta membangun tanggung jawab terhadap perusahaan. Citra perusahaan merupakan impresi yang sesuai dengan kenyataan, sedangkan reputasi adalah intangible asset yang sulit diukur, namun dapat memperkuat posisi perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma post-positivisme dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, di mana permasalahan muncul dari data dan terbuka untuk interpretasi. Sumber data primer berupa wawancara dan dokumentasi, sedangkan data sekunder berasal dari wawancara dan dokumentasi oleh peneliti. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan koding, termasuk Open Coding, Axial Coding, dan Selective Coding. Untuk memastikan keabsahan data, digunakan teknik triangulasi dengan memeriksa data dari berbagai sumber. Citra sangat penting bagi Trans TV, sebuah media komunikasi audio visual dengan berbagai program acara. Perusahaan ini berupaya menjaga citra positif melalui program dan kegiatan yang dilakukan. Menurut Frank Jeffkins, citra seseorang terhadap suatu merek atau perusahaan mempengaruhi pengetahuan dan pengalaman individu. PT Televisi Transformasi menggunakan public relations untuk membentuk citra positif dengan bekerja sama dengan pihak lain. Mereka menangani berita yang tidak benar melalui press release, permintaan maaf, dan rundingan dengan pihak terkait. Tujuan Public Relations adalah menciptakan opini publik yang menguntungkan, dan PT Televisi Transformasi juga melakukan kegiatan Corpo rate Social Responsibility (CSR) seperti acara kesehatan bersama pihak eksternal. The activities of Public Relations (PR) in a company have a wide influence on public behavior, involving various stakeholders such as superiors, subordinates, shareholders, employees, distributors, and consumers. This study aims to analyze PR activities in maintaining the company's positive image, as well as the factors that support or hinder management communication at Trans TV. PR is a management function that builds good relationships between an organization and its public. PR activities are important in creating a pleasant atmosphere in the company, facilitating friendly communication between employees and management, and building responsibility towards the company. The company's image is an impression that corresponds to reality, while reputation is an intangible asset that is difficult to measure but can strengthen the company's position. This research uses a qualitative approach, where issues emerge from d ata and are open to interpretation. The main objectives are to describe, explain, describe, and explore. Primary data sources include interviews and documentation, while secondary data comes from interviews and documentation conducted by the researcher. Data analysis is conducted through coding stages, including Open Coding, Axial Coding, and Selective Coding. To ensure data validity, triangulation techniques are used by examining data from various sources. Image is crucial for Trans TV, an audio-visual communication media with various programs. The company strives to maintain a positive image through its programs and activities. According to Frank Jeffkins, an individual's perception of a brand or company influences their knowledge and experience. PT Televisi Transformasi uses public relations to shape a positive image by collaborating with others. They handle false news through press releases, apologies, and negotiations with relevant parties. The goal of Public Relations is to create favorable public opinions, and PT Televisi Transformasi also engages in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, such as health events with external parties.
