Abstract

Pemanfaatan bandwidth hingga saat ini masih belum optimal karena adanya persaingan dalam penggunaan bandwidth untuk browsing, download, dan upload. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan manajemen bandwidth yang dapat membagi sumber daya bandwidth yang tersedia secara proporsional sesuai dengan kebutuhan setiap koneksi yang terhubung. Salah satu metode yang digunakan adalah metode queue tree untuk menjaga pembagian bandwidth yang stabil. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengatur alokasi bandwidth agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna internet dalam aktivitas seperti download, streaming, dan browsing. Selain itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan router mikrotik yang mampu mengelola bandwidth di setiap unit komputer dan memaksimalkan pemanfaatan bandwidth sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melibatkan observasi dan studi literatur mengenai Quality of Service (QoS) dalam penggunaan bandwidth, yang akan disesuaikan dengan akses internet pada setiap pengguna. Dalam tahap penelitian ini, metode QoS akan digunakan untuk menguji parameter throughput, packet loss, delay, dan jitter guna mengevaluasi kualitas layanan jaringan internet. Berdasarkan analisis data throughput, packet loss, delay, dan jitter, implementasi manajemen bandwidth dengan metode queue tree menunjukkan peningkatan kinerja jaringan secara keseluruhan. Terjadi peningkatan throughput, penurunan tingkat packet loss, delay, dan jitter dalam jaringan. Hal ini mengindikasikan peningkatan stabilitas transfer data, pengiriman yang lebih handal, waktu respons yang lebih cepat, serta pengalaman pengguna yang lebih baik dalam menggunakan aplikasi dan layanan daring. Kata Kunci : Hotspot, Jaringan Mikrotik, Manajemen Bandwidth, Quality of Service, Queue Tree. Bandwidth utilization is still not optimal due to competition in bandwidth usage for browsing, downloading and uploading. Therefore, bandwidth management is needed which can share the available bandwidth resources proportionally according to the needs of each connected connection. One of the methods used is the queue tree method to maintain a stable distribution of bandwidth. The purpose of this research is to adjust the bandwidth allocation to suit the needs of internet users in activities such as downloading, streaming and browsing. In addition, this research aims to create a proxy router that is capable of managing the bandwidth of each computer unit and maximizing bandwidth usage as needed. The data collection method in this study involves observation and literature study regarding Quality of Service (QoS) in bandwidth usage, which will be adjusted to each user's internet access. In this research phase, the QoS method will be used to test throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter parameters to evaluate the quality of internet network services. Based on the analysis of data throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter, the implementation of bandwidth management using the queue tree method shows an increase in overall network performance. There is an increase in throughput, a decrease in the level of packet loss, delay, and jitter in the network. This indicates an increase in data transfer stability, more reliable delivery, faster response times, and a better user experience in using bold applications and services..
