Abstract
This purpose of research to analyze the effect of Profitability, Liquidity, Leverage and Public Ownership on Financial Distress. The population of this study are manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2019. Sampling was done using purposive sampling method, with several criteria that have been used. The sample size used in this study was 18 companies. The results of the study using SPSS 25 showed that profitability (ROA) and leverage (DAR) had no effect on financial distress. Meanwhile, liquidity (CR) and public ownership have a positive effect on financial distress. Keywords : Financial Distress, Profitability, Liquidity, Leverage, Public Ownership Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh profitabilitas, likuiditas, leverage dan kepemilikan publik terhadap financial distress. Populasi penelitian ini adalah perusahaan manufaktur sektor food and beverage yang terdapat di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2016-2019. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling, dengan beberapa kriteria yang telah digunakan. Ukuran sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 18 perusahaan. Hasil penelitian yang menggunakan SPSS 25 menunjukkan profitabilitas (ROA) dan leverage (DAR) tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress. Sedangkan likuiditas (CR) dan kepemilikan publik berpengaruh positif terhadap financial distress. Kata Kunci : Financial Distress, Profitabilitas, Likuiditas, Leverage, Kepemilikan Publik.
