Abstract

The film belongs to the mass media, which mass media is general and can be enjoyed by anyone. Movies are generally made with a lot of marks. Signs include various sign systems that work well together to achieve the desired effect. The most important thing in film is picture and sound; spoken word (plus other voices that simultaneously accompany the pictures) and film music. The film Angel Has Fallen is one of the films that raise the issue of loyalty in the world of work. Angel Has Fallen is an American action film directed by Ric Roman Waugh. The notion of loyalty is a way or action to show ongoing support and obedience to the company where one works. Employee loyalty can be measured by how much the employee contributes to the progress of the company, but a member of the Paspamres/Secret Service, the nature of their loyalty is not only seen from their work ethic and contribution but also willing to make sacrifices to maintain the security of a President. The paradigm used in this study is constructive with a qualitative approach using Charles Sanders Peirce's Semiotics theory. With the unit of film analysis with the theme of loyalty. Data analysis techniques using Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic theory which is divided into 3 parts, namely, representamen, interpretant, and object. The results of this study indicate that in the 7 scenes examined by the researcher, there is a representation of loyalty as a Secret Service in the film Angel Has Fallen. The attitude shown as a Secret Service shows the nature of loyalty, willingness to sacrifice, not prioritizing ego, courage, and being responsible for his mistakes in protecting the security and safety of a President. Keywords: Representation, Semiotic, Film, Loyality Film termasuk kepada media massa, yang mana media massa bersifat umum dan dapat dinikmati oleh siapa saja. Film umumnya dibangun dengan banyak tanda. Tanda-tanda itu termasuk berbagai sistem tanda yang bekerja sama dengan baik dalam upaya mencapai efek yang diharapkan. Hal paling penting dalam film adalah gambar dan suara; kata yang diucapkan (ditambah dengan suara-suara lain yang serentak mengiringi gambar-gambar) dan musik film. Film Angel Has Fallen adalah salah satu film yang mengangkat isu loyalitas dalam dunia pekerjaan. Angel Has Fallen adalah film dengan genre aksi yang berasal dari Amerika dan ditayangkan pada tahun 2019 yang disutradarai oleh Ric Roman Waugh. Pada dasarnya pengertian loyalitas merupakan suatu cara atau tindakan untuk menunjukkan dukungan dan ketaatan yang berkelanjutan terhadap perusahaan tempat seseorang bekerja. Loyalitas karyawan dapat diukur dari seberapa besar kontribusi karyawan terhadap kemajuan perusahaan namun seorang anggota Paspamres/Secret Service sifat kesetiaan mereka bukan hanya dilihat dari etos kerja dan kontribusi mereka tapi juga kesediaan mereka untuk berkorban demi menjaga keamanan seorang Presiden. Paradigma yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu konstruktivis dengan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan teori Semiotika milik Charles Sanders Peirce. Dengan unit analisis film dengan tema loyalitas. Dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan teori semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce yang dibagi menjadi 3 bagian yaitu, representamen, interpretant dan object. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dalam 7 scene yang diteliti oleh peneliti terdapat representasi mengenai loyalitas sebagai seorang Secret Service yang ada di dalam film Angel Has Fallen. Sikap yang ditunjukan sebagai seorang Secret Service menunjukan sifat kesetiaan, rela berkorban, tidak mengutamakan ego, keberanian dan bertanggung jawab atas pekerjaannya dalam melindungi keamanan dan keselamatan seorang Presiden.
