Abstract

Excavators are heavy equipment for digging channels, tunnels, or cement. Excavators themselves are often used for construction projects where the tool can work 24 hours every day. To keep the excavator functioning properly during the operation process, it is necessary to implement preventive maintenance. Based on the results of the field survey, the authors found damage to the hydraulic system components, namely the house (hydraulic hose). The cause of damage to these components is due to the lack of maintenance and the tool is always used regardless of components that are starting to become critical. The method used in this final report is by direct observation on the excavator unit and collecting data by taking data based on the standard maintenance quality plan document Keywords: Heavy Equipment, Excavator, Preventive Maintenance, Hose Excavator merupakan alat berat untuk menggali saluran, terowongan, atau basement. Excavator sendiri sering digunakan untuk pekerjaan proyek pembangunan dimana alat tersebut dapat bekerja selama 24 jam tiap harinya. Untuk menjaga excavator dapat berfungsi dengan baik selama proses pengoperasianya, maka diperlukan pelaksanaan preventive maintenance. Berdasarkan hasil survey lapangan penulis menemukan kerusakan pada komponen sistem hidrolik yaitu hose (selang hidrolik). Penyebab kerusakan pada komponen tersebut disebabkan kurangnya pelaksanaan perawatan dan alat tersebut selalu digunakan tanpa mempedulikan komponen yang mulai kritis. Metode yang digunakan pada laporan akhir ini adalah dengan pengamatan langsung pada unit excavator dan melakukan pengambilan data melakukan pengambilan data berdasarkan dokumen rencana mutu standard maintenance.
