Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between stress control and divergent thinking at PT. X marketing division. The total number of respondents is 140 employees. In this study using a non-probability sampling technique by using an accidental sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is a work stress control scale based on Sopiah's theory (2008) with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.857 and a divergent thinking scale based on Torrance's theory with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.888. The data analysis technique is through Pearson correlation, the results of which show a significant positive relationship between stress control and divergent thinking, with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.001) and a coefficient value of r = 0.525. The results showed that the higher the stress control, the higher the divergent thinking of the subject.
