Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of good corporate governance mechanisms, profitability, and firm size on firm value in banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2016–2020 period. The population in this study is the 54 banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with a total of 88 companies. The sample for this study was obtained by using the purposive sampling method on banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), based on the specified sample criteria, a sample of 29 banking companies for the 2016–2020 period, and for 5 years, there were 145 annual reports in the analysis. The data in this study are secondary data obtained from the IDX and the official website of the company concerned. Data analysis using the E-Views application program The data analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis and panel data regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the audit committee, institutional ownership, profitability, and firm size variables have no effect on firm value, while the firm composition variable has a negative effect on firm value. Keywords: Good Corporate Governance Mechanisms, Profitability, Firm Size, Firm Value Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh mekanisme good corporate governance, profitabilitas, dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap nilai perusahan pada perusahaan sektor perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2016-2020. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan sektor perbankan yang terdaftar di BEI sejumlah 54 perusahaan. Sampel penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling pada perusahaan sektor perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI), berdasarkan kriteria sampel yang sudah ditentukan diperoleh sampel 29 perusahaan perbankan periode 2016-2020, selama 5 tahun pengamatan terdapat 145 laporan tahunan di analisis. Data pada penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari BEI dan website resmi perusahaan yang bersangkutan. Analisis data dengan menggunakan program aplikasi E-Views. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi data panel. Hasil penelitian ini menunujukan bahwa komite audit, kepemilikan institusional, profitabilitas secara parsial tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan, sedangkan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh secara negatif terhadap nilai perusahaan.
