Abstract

The 2014 National Congress Event of Golkar Party was a once in five years landmark for every cadre or front member in the party. Mass media has an important role in raising the issue of nominating the 2014 Golkar Party‟sChairman. In order to monumentalizing this event, Suara Karya newspaper as one of Indonesian‟s printed mass media, which is also affiliated with Golkar Party, was taking the important role. Suara Karya was chosen because it has a close historical relationship with Golkar Party. As the result, the news about General Chairman‟s candidacy of Golkar Party was accommodated by Suara Karya. This study analyzed the construction on Chairman's candidacyof Golkar Party, namely the National Congress of Golkar Party in Ancol by Agung Laksono and in Bali by Aburizal Bakrie. In reporting the event, it turned out that there had been a stand out over the 2014 General Chairman Candidacy of Golkar Party, namely Aburizal Bakrie. Therefore, this research was conducted in order to discuss the way the 2014 Chairman's Candidacy issue in Golkar Party was constructed by Suara Karya. Framing analysis by Zongdhang Pan and Kosicki modelis used as the data analysis method. Within the time period of September 2014, the framing analysis being used consisted of cryptural analysis, thematic analysis, rhetorical analysis, and saliance analysis. After the study was conducted, it was found that in the construction of the news coverage, Suara Karya tended to stand on Aburizal Bakrie's side. Keywords: construction, frame, news, printed media, Golkar Perhelatan Munas (Musyawarah Nasional) Partai Golkar 2014 adalah peristiwa penting lima tahunan bagi seluruh kader Partai Golkar se-Indonesia. Media massa mempunyai peranan penting dalam mengangkat isu pencalonan Ketua Umum Partai Golkar 2014, Harian Umum (HU) Suara Karya adalah media massa cetak yang berafiliasi dengan Partai Golkar. HU Suara Karya dipilih karena memiliki kedekatan historis dengan Partai Golkar dan pemberitaan mengenai pencalonan Ketua Umum Partai Golkar diakomodasi oleh HU. Suara Karya. Penelitian ini menganalisis konstruksi pemberitaan pencalonan Ketua Umum Partai Golkar yakni: Munas Partai Golkar di Ancol versi Agung Laksono dan Munas Partai Golkar di Bali versi Aburizal Bakrie. Dalam pemberitaan HU. Suara Karya ternyata terdapat penonjolan terhadap calon Ketua Umum Partai Golkar 2014 yakni, Aburizal Bakrie. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan, yaitu bagaimana pemberitan pencalonan Ketua Umum Partai Golkar 2014 ini dikonstruksikan oleh HU. Suara Karya. Analisis framing adalah metode analisis data yang digunakan, dengan model Zongdhang Pan & Kosicki, waktu pembingkian pemberitaan bulan September 2014 dengan kerangka analisis framing yang terdiri dari anlisis sriptural, analisis tematis, analisis retoris, analisis saliansi. Pada akhirnya penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa dalam konstruksi pemberitaan HU. Suara Karya terdapat penonjolan terhadap Aburizal Bakrie. Kata Kunci: konstruksi, bingkai, berita, media cetak, Golkar
