Abstract

The purpose of this final work is to describe, visualize, explain stories and messages through a toy. This toy is presented as a hero who is able to protect and save humans. The choice of color in the character also has implications for the meaning itself, namely, there will be bright lights accompanying the darkness of life. Through the stylization technique with epoclay material, the designer creates this with its use as a toy that can be played, displayed, or modified. The whole character of the toy has a meaning that matches the background of the character itself. Keyword: Super hero, action figure, guardian angel, toys Pembuatan karya akhir ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan, memvisualisasikan, menjelaskan cerita dan pesan melalui sebuah mainan. Mainan ini dihadirkan sebagai pahlawan yang mampu melindungi dan menyelamatkan manusia dengan seluk-beluk permasalahan yang dialami. Pemilihan warna pada karakter mainan juga berimplikasi dari makna itu sendiri yaitu, akan ada cahaya yang terang menemani pada gelapnya kehidupan. Melalui teknik stilasi dengan bahan epoclay penulis menciptakan mainan ini dengan kegunaannya sebagai mainan yang dapat dimainkan, dipajang, ataupun dimodifikasi. Keseluruhan karakter mainan ini memiliki makna yang sesuai dengan latar belakang karakter itu sendiri. Kata Kunci: Super hero, action figure, guardian angel, mainan
