Abstract
Now, the world has entered an era of information-based competition. Information has become a valuable asset for a business institution in winning business competition. Insurance have also used the information to streamline processes and customer management agency in it. In its application, Prudential - Prufighters agency has not maximize the benefits of information systems in the administration of the insurance agency office. This research aims to design the system and application system that focuses on ease of use, accuracy of information generated, and minimize the use of printed documents. For that reason, the software development process is based on a true software engineering. Software development models used in this study is the waterfall model. This thesis will describe the activities and products produced at each stage of development. Design and implementation for the administration of the insurance agency office was limited by several modules, namely the registration agent, policy-making, and promotion agency managers. In the final stages of software development, to evaluate the process and product development software. The things that have been done and what has not been done on the development of this software will be reviewed at the end of this thesis. Keywords: Information Systems of Insurance Agency Administration, Software Engineering Saat ini, dunia telah memasuki era persaingan berbasiskan informasi. Informasi menjadi aset yang berharga bagi suatu institusi bisnis dalam memenangkan persaingan bisnis. Dunia asuransi juga telah memanfaatkan informasi untuk mengefisiensikan proses-proses pengelolaan keagenan dan nasabah yang ada di dalamnya. Dalam penerapannya, Prudential - Prufighters agency belum memaksimalkan manfaat sistem informasi dalam administrasi kantor keagenan asuransi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem serta aplikasi sistem yang memfokuskan pada kemudahan dalam penggunaan, keakuratan informasi yang dihasilkan, serta meminimalisir penggunaan dokumen cetak. Untuk itu, dilakukan proses pengembangan perangkat lunak yang didasarkan pada rekayasa perangkat lunak yang benar. Model pengembangan perangkat lunak yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model waterfall. Laporan tugas akhir ini akan menguraikan aktifitas-aktifitas dan produk-produk yang dihasilkan pada masingmasing tahap pengembangan. Desain dan implementasi untuk administrasi kantor keagenan asuransi ini dibatasi oleh beberapa modul, yaitu pendaftaran agen, pembuatan polis, dan promosi manajer keagenan. Pada tahap akhir pengembangan perangkat lunak, dilakukan evaluasi terhadap proses dan produk pengembangan perangkat lunak. Hal-hal yang telah dilakukan dan apa yang belum dilakukan pada pengembangan perangkat lunak ini akan diulas pada bagian akhir laporan tugas akhir ini.
