Abstract
Childhood is a period where the child is actively playing and is always curious. By playing children will learn about everyday life and through playing skills these children will develop in physical aspects of motor, cognitive, social and emotional. Many types of educational toys that already exist today that can be used for parents to exercise creativity and intelligence of children. Unloading action figures is one type of toy that is loved by many people for example is Lego. Currently this type of toy can be enjoyed from children to adults. Action figure toys for young children can also be an educational tool for them to learn and introduce something new. Through the design of action figures in the form of endangered animals here the author wants to introduce the functions and characters of endangered animals in Indonesia, especially orangutans. Keywords: Toys, action figures, endangered animals, orangutans Masa kanak-kanak merupakan masa dimana anak sedang aktif bermain dan selalu ingin tahu. Dengan bermain anak akan belajar tentang kehidupan sehari-hari dan melalui bermain keterampilan anak-anak ini akan berkembang dalam aspek fisik motorik, kognitif, sosial serta emosi. Banyak jenis mainan edukasi yang telah ada saat ini yang dapat di manfaatkan bagi orang tua untuk melatih kreativitas dan kecerdasan anak. Action figure bongkar pasang adalah salah satu jenis mainan yang digandrungi oleh banyak orang sebagai contohnya adalah lego. Saat ini mainan jenis ini bisa dinikmati dari anak anak sampai kalangan dewasa. Mainan action figure untuk anak kecil juga bisa menjadi sarana edukasi untuk mereka belajar dan mengenalkan sesuatu yang baru. Melalui perancangan action figure dengan bentuk hewan langka disini penulis ingin memperkenalkan fungsi dan karakter hewan hewan langka yang ada di Indonesia khususnya orangutan.
