Abstract

UKM Choir has members who approach through sharing fantasies and then developing them to build a cohesive group. The focus of this research is How is the Fantasy Theme Analysis of the University of Mercu Buana Jakarta Student Choir Student Activity Unit 2021/2022 Period? The purpose of this research is to find out the fantasy of UKM Choir. Literature review consists of 5 previous studies with 1 international journal. The theoretical review consists of communication, group communication, group communication classification, group communication process, group communication role, group communication function, Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation, Sociometric Theory, Symbolic Convergence Theory (Fantasy Theme, Fantasy Chain, Fantasy Type, Rhetorical Vision). This research paradigm is constructivism through a descriptive qualitative approach with the Fantasy Theme Analysis method. Data Collection Techniques of this research are observing conversations that take place through WhatsApp Group and face-to-face meetings, interviewing 13 informants and documentation. Using the Data Validity Technique of Method Triangulation. The results of the study stated that there were fantasy themes that developed in the UMB Jakarta PSM UKM, namely (1) Choir Competition Preparation, (2) Choirmorphosis 12 "Svara Dikara", and (3) Open Recruitment 2021. The fantasy chain that emerges when members respond to the three themes through memorable events, sharing sessions, and telling previous experiences that have occurred is accompanied by fantasy types in the form of various terms such as chestvoice, headvoice, warm, bright, secret, ngebatik. Until the rhetorical vision when the members tell what happens in the UKM Choir environment to the outside of the environment that creates these themes. In conclusion, there are three fantasy themes that trigger the emergence of fantasy chains, fantasy types, to rhetorical visions so as to increase group cohesiveness and solidarity. UKM Paduan Suara memiliki anggota yang melakukan pendekatan melalui berbagi fantasi lalu dikembangkan untuk membangun kelompok yang kohesif. Fokus penelitian ini Bagaimana Analisis Tema Fantasi Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta Periode 2021/2022? Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui fantasi UKM Paduan Suara. Tinjauan pustaka terdiri dari 5 penelitian terdahulu dengan 1 jurnal internasional. Kajian teoritis terdiri dari komunikasi, komunikasi kelompok, klasifikasi komunikasi kelompok, proses komunikasi kelompok, peran komunikasi kelompok, fungsi komunikasi kelompok Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation, Teori Sosiometrik, Teori Konvergensi Simbolik (Tema Fantasi, Rantai Fantasi, Tipe Fantasi dan Visi Retoris). Paradigma penelitian ini konstruktivisme melalui pendekatan kualitatif sifat deskriptif dengan metode Analisis Tema Fantasi. Teknik Pengumpulan Data penelitian ini yaitu melakukan observasi pada percakapan yang berlangsung melalui WhatsApp Group dan pertemuan tatap muka, mewawancarai 13 informan dan dokumentasi. Menggunakan Teknik Keabsahan Data Triangulasi Metode. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa terdapat tema fantasi yang berkembang di UKM PSM UMB Jakarta yaitu tema (1)Persiapan Lomba Paduan Suara, (2)Choirmorphosis 12 “Svara Dikara”, dan (3)Open Recruitment 2021. Rantai fantasi yang muncul ketika anggota menanggapi ketiga tema melalui kejadian memorable, sesi sharing, dan menceritakan pengalaman terdahulu yang terjadi diiringi dengan tipe fantasi berupa ragam istilah seperti chestvoice, headvoice, warm, bright, sekret, ngebatik. Hingga pada visi retoris ketika para anggota menceritakan apa yang terjadi di dalam lingkungan UKM Paduan Suara ke luar dari lingkungan yang menciptakan tema-tema tersebut. Kesimpulannya, terdapat tiga tema fantasi yang memicu timbulnya rantai fantasi, tipe fantasi, hingga pada visi retoris sehingga mampu meningkatkan kohesivitas dan solidaritas kelompok. Kata Kunci: Komunikasi Kelompok, Tema Fantasi, UKM Paduan Suara, Kohesif, Konvergensi Simbolik.
