Abstract
Preschool education is identical with a place which is colorful, memorable and filled with young children who are starting to learn many things. Preschool education provides learning and playing experiences in a school environment. At an early age, children prefer to play outside rather than learn in the classroom. Unattractive interiors and furniture that look stiff can reduce children's enthusiasm for learning. In addition, during the current COVID-19 pandemic, a special design for furniture is needed to reduce virus transmission. Therefore, a good design is needed to attract children's attention and also support their learning activities while the design is still conforming to health and hygienic protocols. Sampoerna Academy Preschool is one of many private preschools with branches in Jakarta and Tangerang. This preschool uses the world's best curriculum and STEAM-based methods (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math ) applied by America. The interior design and interior theme that Sampoerna Academy will use for the learning process must be able to increase their creativity. Besides that, it can also support the socialization process with other children. With the right interior design, children will find it easier to absorb lessons. For that, we must examine what designs and styles are suitable for the preschool. In researching, the method used is to find answers from online sources in the form of articles and journals that match the problem. Keyword : Children, Preschool, Sampoerna Academy Preschool Pendidikan preschool identik dengan tempat yang penuh warna, berkesan ceria dan dipenuhi oleh anak-anak usia dini yang mulai mempelajari banyak hal. Pendidikan prasekolah atau preschool memberikan pengalaman belajar dan bermain bersama di dalam lingkungan sekolah. Pada usia dini, anak-anak lebih suka bermain di luar daripada belajar di dalam ruang kelas. Interior kelas yang tidak menarik dan juga furniture berupa kursi anak-anak yang terlihat kaku dapat menurunkan semangat belajar anak-anak. Selain itu, pada masa pandemi COVID-19 saat ini, diperlukan desain khusus pada sebuah furniture untuk mengurangi penularan virus. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan desain ruangan yang dapat menarik perhatian anak-anak dan juga mendukung kegiatan belajar mereka namun tetap sesuai dengan protokol kesehatan dan higenis. Sampoerna Academy Preschool adalah salah satu dari sekian banyaknya preschool swasta yang memiliki cabang di Jakarta dan Tangerang. STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) adalah metode dan kurikulum yang digunakan oleh Preschool ini. Kurikulum ini telah diterapkan di Amerika. Desain dan gaya ruangan yang akan digunakan anak-anak di Sampoerna Academy untuk proses pembelajaran harus dapat meningkatkan kreativitas mereka. Selain itu juga dapat mendukung proses sosialisasi dengan anak-anak yang lain. Dengan rancangan ruangan yang tepat, diharapkan anak-anak akan lebih mudah untuk menyerap pelajaran. Untuk itu, kita harus meneliti desain dan gaya jenis apa yang cocok diterapkan pada preschool tersebut. Dalam meneliti, metode yang digunakan adalah dengan mencari jawaban dari sumber daring berupa artikel dan jurnal yang sesuai dengan permasalahan.
