Abstract

A coworking space or common room is a work or office environment that is used by people who work alone or work for different companies. Coworking space is an area for work and study activities that require focus, and require a long and intensive workspace. If you overwork, this can lead to stress, decreased productivity, and other mental disorders. Therefore we need a work space that has a quality environment, one way is by applying biophilic design. Biophilic design is a deliberate attempt to translate the understanding of humans who are always interested in getting closer to natural systems known as biophilia into environmental design (Wilson K. a., 1993). In other words, biophilic design is a design that brings natural elements into the human environment, because of the tendency of humans to love nature or the desire to be close to nature. However, in this new normal era, there are many changes that have occurred in public places, including the Greenhouse coworking space, where there are regulations that regulate safe distances to prevent the occurrence of COVID-19 transmission and also the shape of furniture adjusts to the new normal conditions implemented by the government. The background in this design is to apply the concept of biophilic design by applying the concept of the presen of water pattern in the room, as well as its application in the elements that form space. The method used is qualitative comparative and descriptive by using the theoretical basis of biophilic design. Keywords: Coworking Space, Biophilic Design, Interior Elements, New Normal COVID Coworking space atau ruang bersama merupakan lingkungan kerja atau kantor yang digunakan oleh orang-orang yang bekerja sendiri atau bekerja untuk perusahaan yang berbeda-beda. Coworking space merupakan area untuk aktivitas kerja dan belajar yang membutuhkan fokus, serta memerlukan waktu cukup lama dan intensif di ruang kerja. Jika berlebihan bekerja, hal ini dapat menyebabkan stress, produktivitas yang menurun, dan gangguan mental lainnya. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan ruang kerja yang memiliki lingkungan yang berkualitas, salah satu caranya adalah dengan menerampak biophilic design. Biophilic design adalah sesuatu upaya yang disengaja untuk menerjemahkan pemahaman tentang manusia yang selalu tertarik untuk mendekatkan diri dengan sistem alami yang dikenal sebagai biofilia ke dalam desain lingkungan hidup (Wilson K. a., 1993). Dengan kata lain, biophilic design merupkan sebuah desain yang menghadirkasn unsur alam ke dalam lingkungan hidup manusia, karena adanya kecenderungan manusia yang cinta alam atau keinginan untuk berdekatan dengan alam. Namun, diera new normal ini banyak perubahan yang terjadi pada tempat umum, termasuk pada Greenhouse coworking space, dimana terdapat peraturan yang mengatur jarak aman sebagai pencegahan terjadinya penularan COVID-19 dan juga bentuk furniture menyesuaikan dengan kondisi new normal yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah Latar belakang dalam perancangan ini adalah untuk menerapkan konsep biophilic design dengan penerapan konsep pattern presen of water di dalam ruangannya, serta penerapannya dalam elemen pembentuk ruang. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif komperatif dan deskriptif dengan menggunakan landasan teori biophilic design.
