Abstract
Administration of letters is a supporting activity for the implementation of basic tasks Section human resources and organization department. In general, this information system accommodate the process of administration that has been running in a way manually. Manually administered administration leads to inefficiency, data redundancy, difficulty in the process of searching for letters and monitoring the process of administering letters less can be done. This system will be developed to improve process quality with PHP and MySQL core programming languages as supporting database management system. This Information System will accommodate processes involving Eselon II,III, and IV. Monitoring of settlement of letters and storage of electronic archives of both incoming and outgoing mail. The results of this study is a useful Information System for the administration of letters and archives for the human resources and organization department secretariat of directorate general conservation of natural resources and ecosystems. Keywords: Administration, Information System, Letter Penatausahaan surat merupakan kegiatan pendukung bagi pelaksanaan tugas pokok Bagian Kepegawaian Setditjen KSDAE. Pada umumnya sistem informasi ini mengakomodasi proses penatausahaan yang selama ini berjalan dengan cara manual. Penatausahaan yang dilakukan dengan cara manual menyebabkan inefisiensi, redundansi data, kesulitan dalam proses pencarian surat dan monitoring proses penatausahaan surat kurang dapat dilakukan. Sistem informasi penatausahaan surat pada Bagian Kepegawaian Setditjen KSDAE ini akan dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses dengan bahasa pemrograman inti PHP dan MySQL sebagai pendukung sistem manajemen basis data. Sistem Informasi ini akan mengakomodasi proses-proses yang melibatkan unit eselon III,IVdan pemroses surat. Monitoring penyelesaian surat dan penyimpanan arsip elektronik baik surat masuk maupun surat keluar. Hasil dari penelitian ini merupakan Sistem Informasi yang berguna untuk penatausahaan surat dan arsip bagi Bagian Kepegawaian dan Ortala setditjen KSDAE.
