Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam mengerjakan tugas akhir atau skripsi, mahasiswa sering kali dilanda dengan berbagai macam masalah seperti dalam menentukan judul, kurangnya referensi, kurangnya waktu dalam mengerjakan skripsi, munculnya rasa malas dan kurangnya motivasi, dosen yang sulit untuk ditemui, sulit dalam membagi waktu, kelelahan karena bekerja, dan tidak konsentrasi (Etika & Hasibuan, 2016). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali lebih dalam bagaimana gambaran perilaku prokrastinasi akademik terjadi dikalangan mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan tugas akhir dimasa pandemi COVID-19. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah tiga orang mahasiswa yang telah mengambil tugas akhir lebih dari dua semester. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian fenomenologi. Alat pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ketiga subjek menunjukaan melakukan prokrastinasi dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir atau skripsi, dimana perilaku yang dilakukan oleh ketiga subjek terdapat faktor lain seperti adanya masalah keluarga yang dialami oleh masing-masing subjek, yang membuat subjek kehilangan motivasi dalam mengerjakan tugas akhir atau skripsi. Kata Kunci: prokrastinasi akademik, mahasiswa, tugas akhir ABSTRACT In working on their final assignment or thesis, students are often stricken with various kinds of problems such as determining titles, lack of references, lack of time to work on thesis, the appearance of a feeling of laziness and lack of motivation, lecturers who are difficult to find, difficulty in allocating time, fatigue from work, and no concentration (Etika & Hasibuan, 2016). Purpose this study is to dig deeper into how the description of academic procrastination behaviour occurs among students are working on their final project during the COVID-19 pandemic. The subjects in this study were three students who had taken their final project for more than two semesters. This study uses a qualitative approach, with the type of phenomenological research. Data collection research in this study were interviews and field notes. The results of this study, indicate that the three subjects showed a procrastination in completing their final assignment or thesis, where the behaviour caried out by the three subjects involved other factors such as family problems experienced by each subject, which made the subject lose the motivation for doing the final assignment or thesis.
