Abstract
The lamp is one of the important products in human life. With the lights, humans do not need to depend on natural light sources, namely the sun. Along with the development of the lamp is not only a source of light but an element of decoration. Lights are no longer chosen solely based on lighting but also on the appearance of the lamp. Therefore the design of decorative lights is increasingly developing and advancing. With time, the materials and manufacturing techniques are increasingly diverse. Many industries are competing to create the latest innovations to attract market attention. Therefore Kartala Lights are designed to fulfill this background. Kartala lights are decorative lights that use wood batik technique methods, with naphthol batik dye, which takes the concept of a dream dancer, with the 4 elements of the compass, namely air, water, fire, and wind. Keywords: decorative lamps, batik, wooden batik, serimpi dance, kartala. Lampu merupakan salah satu produk yang penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Dengan adanya lampu manusia tidak perlu bergantung pada sumber cahaya alami, yaitu matahari. Seiring perkembangan zaman lampu tidak hanya menjadi sumber cahaya, tetapi menjadi elemen dekorasi ruangan. Lampu tidak lagi dipilih hanya berdasarkan penerangan tetapi juga penampilan pada lampu tersebut. Oleh karena itu desain lampu hias semakin berkembang dan maju. Dengan perkembangan zaman, bahan material dan tehnik pembuatannya semakin beragam. Banyak industry berlomba-lomba menciptakan inovasi terbaru untuk menarik perhatian pasar. Oleh karena itu Lampu Kartala dirancang dengan tujuan memenuhi latar belakang tersebut. Lampu Kartala adalah lampu hias yang menggunakan metode teknik batik kayu, dengan pewarna batik naptol, yang mengambil konsep penari serimpi, dengan unsur 4 element mata angin yaitu udara, air, api, dan angin. Kata Kunci : lampu hias, batik, batik kayu, tari serimpi, kartala.
