Abstract

Bags are containers or places that humans use to carry or store things. Along with the times, the need for the function of the bag has also increased were not only used as a place or container to collect goods but also as a tool to support an appearance. A bag that is very concerned about its function as supporting appearance is a party bag. In its use, choosing and wearing the bag becomes the style of someone who becomes a reflection of their behavior and identifies and shapes themselves. In this case, I was inspired to explore it with the Dayak culture in Kalimantan. The Dayak tribe has a diverse culture, one of which is the presence of hornbills and beading crafts that have the potential to be made into fashion products that have high aesthetic value. Yaku party bag is a party bag designed to meet the needs of women's fashion as a tool to support the appearance through the beauty contained in the elements of traditional Dayak tribe art, namely a series of beads and the meaning of the hornbill motif that has a common principle with a party bag product. Keywords: Bag, Party Bag, Dayak Tribe, Hornbill Motif, beads, Yaku Party Bag Tas merupakan wadah atau tempat yang biasa manusia gunakan untuk membawa atau menyimpan sesuatu. Seiring perkembangan zaman, kebutuhan akan fungsi tas pun semakin meningkat dimana tidak hanya di gunakan sebagai tempat atau wadah penampung barang namun juga sebagai alat untuk menunjang sebuah penampilan. Sebuah tas yang sangat memperhatikan fungsinya sebagai penunjang penampilan adalah tas pesta. Dalam penggunaannya, memilih dan memakai tas itupun menjadi gaya seseorang yang menjadi cerminan dalam perilakunya serta mengidentifikasikan dan membentuk dirinya sendiri. Dalam hal ini, saya terinspirasi untuk mengeksplorasinya dengan budaya suku Dayak yang ada di Kalimantan. Suku Dayak memiliki budaya yang beraneka ragam, salah satunya dengan adanya motif burung enggang dan kerajinan manik-manik yang memiliki potensi untuk dapat di jadikan produk fashion yang memiliki nilai estetika yang tinggi. Tas pesta Yaku adalah tas pesta yang di rancang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan fashion wanita sebagai alat untuk menunjang penampilan melalui keindahan yang terdapat dari elemen seni tradisional suku Dayak yakni rangkaian manik-manik serta makna dari motif burung enggang yang memiliki persamaan prinsip dengan produk tas pesta.
