Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and adolescent career maturity in class XI students at SMA X Tangerang. The number of samples in this study is 244 respondents with the XI class criteria for high school X Tangerang. The measurement used for the scale of concept is the personal selfconcept (PSC), a concept developed by Goni, Madariaga, and Axpe. A (2011) with a 0.853 Cronbach alpha score and a career maturity inventory from c developed by Crites & Savickas (1995) and then realized by Savickas & Porfeli (2011) by the value of Cronbach alpha by 0865. The methods used in this study are a significant positive link between self-concept and career maturity with a coefficient correlation value of r= 0179 and its significance by 0005 (p< 0.05). The result is that the higher the self-concept, the higher the career maturity in class XI high school students. This shows the existence of self-concept and adolescent career maturity in class XI students. Keywords: self-concept, career maturity, XI grade high school student Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan konsep diri dengan kematangan karir remaja pada siswa kelas XI di SMA X Tangerang. Jumlah sample dalam penelitian ini adalah 244 responden dengan kriteria siswa kelas XI di SMA X Tangerang. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk skala konsep diri adalah Personal Self-Concept (PSC) Questionnaire yang dikembangkan oleh Goni, Madariaga, Axpe, dan Goni. A (2011) dengan nilai Cronbach Alpha sebesar 0.853 dan skala kematangan karir adalah Career Maturity Inventory From C yang dikembangkan oleh Crites & Savickas (1995) dan kemudian di revalidasi ulang oleh Savickas & Porfeli (2011) dengan nilai Cronbach Alpha sebesar 0.865. Metode kuantitatif melalui uji korelasi spearmen’s rho dan hasil analisis data menunjukan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara konsep diri dengan kematangan karir dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar r= 0.179 dan nilai signifikansi 0.005 (p< 0.05). Hasil tersebut menunjukan semakin tinggi konsep diri maka semakin tingginya kematangan karir pada siswa SMA kelas XI. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya konsep diri dan kematangan karir remaja pada siswa kelas XI. Kata Kunci : konsep diri, kematangan karir, siswa sma kelas XI
