Abstract

Motivation comes from the word motive which is defined as encouragement. The achievement motivation studied in this study is an encouragement within the individual that provides a reference for himself to achieve the desired results. This study examines the influence of parent involvement and self-regulated learning on achievement motivation, both of which are proven to have a positive influence on achievement motivation. Parent involvement itself can be interpreted as a form of parental involvement in their child's learning process, meanwhile self-regulated learning is interpreted as a form of individual self-awareness in self-regulation, which aims to control the efforts made by an individual in achieving predetermined targets, in this case achievement. teenage students at high school age. The results of this study prove that parent involvement and self-regulated learning affect achievement motivation by 60,4%. Keywords: Parent Involvement, Self Regulation, Achievement Motivation, High School Students Motivasi berasal dari kata motive yang diartikan sebagai dorongan. Adapun motivasi berprestasi yang diteliti dalam penelitian kali ini merupakan dorongan dalam diri individu yang memberikan acuan kepada dirinya untuk mencapai hasil yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini meneliti adanya pengaruh parent involvement dan self regulated learning terhadap motivasi berprestasi, dimana keduanya terbukti memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap motivasi berprestasi. Parent involvement sendiri dapat diartikan sebagai bentuk keterlibatan para orang tua terhaadap proses belajar anaknya, sementara itu self regulated learning diartikan sebagai bentuk kesadaran diri individu dalam mengatur dirinya, yang bertujuan mengontrol usaha yang dilakukan seorang individu dalam meraih target yang telah ditentukan, dalam hal ini prestasi siswa remaja pada usia SMA. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa parent involvement dan self regulated learning mempengaruhi motivasi berprestasi sebesar 60,4%.
