Abstract
Traffic safety issues are interesting topics in terms of humanity and economics. Billions of rupiah have been spent due to traffic accidents. The types of vehicles involved in traffic accidents are mostly motorbikes followed by passenger cars, goods vehicles, and buses. The number of accidents from the education level is the level of senior high school, followed by the junior high school and the tertiary level. To reduce the increase in the number and risk of accidents mentioned above, a road transport safety action strategy and program is implemented as well as its action program with the Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS) program. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of ZoSS on schools "169 Jakarta Junior High School and 11 Pegadungan Elementary School, Jakarta" behavior of road users and school children safety as well as to know the potential of motorbikes on roads. The method used in the research method is descriptive, evaluative analysis and simple statistical tests to determine the condition of pedestrian behavior, roads, traffic characteristics, and motorcycle lane scenarios. From the results of the analysis of the application of ZoSS found the application of "less effective" ZoSS has decreased the behavior of pedestrians and motorists as well as improved vehicle speed reduction at the ZoSS location. Keywords: Crossing Characteristics, Riders, Road Performance, and ZoSS. Masalah keselamatan lalu-lintas merupakan bahasan menarik ditinjau dari sisi kemanusiaan maupun ekonomi. Milyaran rupiah telah dibelanjakan akibat kecelakaan lalu-lintas. Jenis kendaraan yang terlibat dalam kecelakaan lalu-lintas sebagian besar adalah sepeda motor diikuti mobil penumpang, kendaraan barang, dan bus. Jumlah kecelakaan dari sisi jenjang pendidikan adalah tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas, diikuti Sekolah Menengah Pertama tingkat Sekolah Dasar dan Perguruan Tinggi. Untuk mereduksi peningkatan jumlah maupun resiko kecelakaan tersebut di atas dilakukan strategi dan program aksi keselamatan transportasi jalan maupun program aksinya dengan program Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh adanya penerapan ZoSS pada sekolah " SMPN 169 Jakarta dan SDN 11 Pegadungan,Jakarta " perilaku pengguna jalan dan keselamatan anak-anak sekolah serta untuk mengetahui potensi sepeda motor di ruas jalan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian metode analisis diskriptif, evaluatif dan uji statistik sederhana untuk mengetahui kondisi perilaku penyeberang, jalan, karakteristik lalu lintas, dan skenario lajur sepeda motor. Dari hasil analisis penerapan ZoSS ditemukan penerapan ZoSS "kurang efektif" terjadi penurunan perilaku penyeberang jalan dan pengendara kendaraan serta perbaikan penurunan kecepatan kendaraan sesaat di lokasi ZoSS. Kata kunci: Karakteristik Penyeberang, Pengendara, Kinerja Ruas Jalan, dan ZoSS.
