Abstract

Home is where humans take refuge from various kinds of distractions that come from nature either from animals or the local climate. Flood disaster is one of the main factors in the problems faced. This study aims to obtain the way that the occupants of the Domestic Affairs Department (DDN) in their homes against the flood. Results of field research through interviews and observations, then the adaptation of the residents is by raising the floor level of the house, with a height of 40-85 cm from the road surface. Floor elevation is done by partial and overall, 2 units of the house do partial elevation of the floor that is not all the room carried out exaltation, while the 3 units of houses do the overall elevation of the floor. There are several factors that cause the occupants not to raise the floor back as a whole room, that is because residents have the status of retired civil servants, so in terms of financing in the execution of the floor of his house back into a consideration and residents think, floods only come during the rainy season only, with Anticipate the flood that is moving the goods or furniture to a higher place and raising the existing floor at this time is considered sufficient, because the intensity of flooding only several times a year. Keywords: Settlement, Housing, House, Adaptation, Flood Rumah adalah tempat manusia berlindung dari berbagai macam gangguan yang datang dari alam baik itu dari binatang ataupun iklim setempat. Musibah banjir adalah salah satu faktor utama dalam permasalahan yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh cara yang dilakukan para penghuni Komplek Departemen Dalam Negeri (DDN) pada rumah tinggalnya terhadap banjir. Hasil penelitian di lapangan melalui wawancara dan observasi, maka adaptasi yang dilakukan para penghuni adalah dengan melakukan peninggian level lantai rumahnya, dengan ketinggian 40-85 cm dari permukaan jalan. Peninggian lantai dilakukan dengan cara parsial dan keseluruhan, 2 unit rumah melakukan peninggian lantai secara parsial yaitu tidak semua ruangan dilakukan peninggian, sedangkan 3 unit rumah melakukan peninggian lantai secara keseluruhan. Ada beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan para penghuni tidak melakukan peninggian lantai kembali secara keseluruhan ruangan, yaitu karena penghuni berstatus pensiunan PNS, maka dari segi pembiayaan dalam melakukan peninggian lantai rumahnya kembali menjadi sebuah pertimbangan dan penghuni beranggapan, banjir hanya datang pada saat musim penghujan saja, dengan melakukan antisipasi pada saat banjir yaitu melakukan pemindahan barang-barang atau furniture ketempat yang lebih tinggi dan peninggian lantai yang ada pada saat ini dinilai sudah cukup, karena intensitas banjir hanya beberapa kali dalam setahun.
