Abstract
The house which was originally a shelter from heat, rain and animals outside, changed into the social status of the owner. Home, today is a picture of identity, character and value of one's life. This research was conducted to find answers about the characteristics of the homes required by Jabodetabek market segmentation. Data is collected by using a questionnaire. The characteristics of the house analyzed include the number of floors, location and architectural style of the house. The conclusions of this activity are houses with no more than 2 floors, located on the outskirts of the city (Depok, Bogor, Tangerang, Bekasi), as well as houses that have a modern tropical home architecture style, as well as a house that must have the needs of family space, space guest, workspace. Keywords : Characteristics, House, Style Rumah yang awalnya untuk tempat berlindung dari panas, hujan dan binatang luar, berubah menjadi status sosial sang pemilik. Rumah, dimasa kini menjadi gambaran jati diri, karakter dan nilai hidup seseorang. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mencari jawaban tentang karakteristik rumah yang dibutuhkan segmentasi pasar Jabodetabek. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Karakteristik rumah yang dianalisis meliputi jumlah lantai, lokasi dan gaya arsitektur rumah. Simpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah rumah yang jumlah lantainya tidak lebih dari 2 lantai, yang berlokasi di pinggiran kota (Depok, Bogor, Tangerang, Bekasi), serta rumah yang memiliki gaya arsitektur rumah modern tropis, serta rumah yang harus memiliki kebutuhan ruang keluarga, ruang tamu, ruang kerja.
