Abstract
In designing buildings, facades need to be planned as best as they can. A good performance of the building will be an attraction for visitors. Every visitor who views has a different visual perception. Therefore, the appearance of a building will be subjective. The object of the study is Juanda Transpark Mall, its strategic location and is being discussed because it has Trans Snow Word facilities. This study examines how visitors perceive their facades. The facade study of Juanda Transpark Mall has facade elements consisting of proportions, rhythm, ornaments, material, color, shape and texture. Data processing using qualitative quantitative methods with research instruments using visual research methods in the questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that facade of the north west side is the most attractive element to visitors because of the informative ornaments and the use of glass. Keywords : Perception, Facades, Visual Research Dalam merancang bangunan, fasad perlu direncanakan sebaik mungkin. Tampilan bangunan yang baik akan menjadi daya tarik bagi pengunjung. Setiap pengunjung yang memandang mempunyai persepsi visual yang berbeda. Oleh karena itu, penampilan sebuah bangunan akan bersifat subjektif. Objek penelitian mengambil Mall Transpark Juanda, letaknya strategis dan sedang ramai diperbincangkan karena memiliki fasilitas Trans Snow World. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang bagaimana persepsi pengunjung terhadap fasadnya. Kajian fasad Mall Transpark Juanda memiliki elemenelemen fasad yang terdiri dari proporsi, irama, ornamen, material, warna, bentuk dan tekstur. Pengolahan data menggunakan metode kuantitatif kualitatif dengan instrument penelitian menggunakan metode visual reseach pada kuisioner. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa fasad bagian sisi utara barat paling menarik bagi pengunjung dengan ornamen yang informatif dan penggunaan kaca.
