Abstract
Waterfront is one of the locations of public open spaces. Open space itself is a place that people need to carry out social activities. Community social activities that will be carried out by the community must be supported by cloudy infrastructure. In other words, in addition to the provision of open waterfront space in the Tangerang city, the government must also complete the facilities in the open waterfront space. The facilities and infrastructure that will be completed by the government can make the community more frequent to come to the Taman Gajah Tunggal waterfront located in the city of Tangerang, Banten. With supporting facilities and infrastructure, the community feels that their needs will be fulfilled to carry out social activities in the Taman Gajah Tunggal waterfront, so that maximizing the functions at Taman Gajah Tunggal's waterfront can be done very well. Keywords : Waterfront, open space, open space facilities, function optimization Waterfront merupakan salah satu dari lokasi ruang terbuka masyarakat. Ruang terbuka sendiri merupakan suatu tempat yang dibutuhkan masyarakat untuk melakukan kegiatan sosial. Kegiatan sosial masyarakat yang akan dilakukan masyarakat harus didukung dengan sarana prasarana yang mendung. Dengan kata lain, selain disediakannya ruang terbuka waterfront pada kota Tangerang pemerintah juga harus melengkapi sarana yang ada di dalam ruang terbuka waterfront tersebut. Sarana dan prasarana yang akan dilengkapi oleh pemerintah ini dapat membuat masyarakat menjadi lebih sering untuk datang ke waterfront Taman Gajah Tunggal yang terletak di kota Tangerang,Banten ini. Dengan sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung, masyarakat merasa akan terpenuhi kebutuhannya untuk melakukan kegiatan sosial di waterfront Taman Gajah Tunggal ini, sehingga pemaksimalan fungsi pada waterfront Taman Gajah Tunggal dapat terlaksana dengan sangat baik.
