Abstract
Students during the process of undergoing education at tertiary institutions are expected to have self-confidence and get good quality education, with that after students have completed their education at tertiary institutions they can already determine the future or work or what plans will be carried out next or what is called a future time perspective, besides In addition, students are faced with many situations to overcome the problems they face and are required to find appropriate and good solutions, which is called subjective well-being. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between subjective wellbeing and future time perspective on students at Mercu Buana University. The research method used is quantitative. Respondents to this study were 440 regular active students at Mercu Buana University. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with cluster random sampling method. The results of the analysis using the Pearson's correlation coefficient method show that there is a positive relationship between subjective well-being and the future time perspective of students at Mercu Buana University as evidenced by the results of the correlation coefficient value of 0.769 with the SPSS 22 program tool, which means that the better the subjective well-being of students the higher the future time perspective held by students. In this research, students are expected to have good subjective well-being by means of which students can find out how important the future time perspective is or thoughts about the future. Keywords. Subjective well-being, future time perspective, Student at Mercu Buana University Mahasiswa selama berproses menjalani pendidikan di perguruan tinggi diharapkan memiliki kepercayaan diri dan mendapatkan kualitas pendidikan yang baik, dengan itu setelah mahasiswa menyelesaikan pendidikan di perguruan tinggi sudah dapat menentukan masa depan atau pekerjaan maupun rencana apa yang selanjutnya akan dijalankan atau yang disebut future time perspective, selain itu juga mahasiswa dihadapkan pada banyak situasi untuk mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi serta dituntut menemukan solusi dengan tepat dan baik, yang disebut dengan kesejahteraan subjektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kesejahteraan subjektif dengan future time perspective pada Mahasiswa di Universitas Mercu Buana. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Responden penelitian ini sebanyak 440 mahasiswa aktif reguler 1 Universitas Mercu Buana. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu probability sampling dengan metode cluster random sampling. Hasil analisis dengan metode pearson’s correlation coefficient menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara kesejahteraan subjektif dengan future time perspective pada mahasiswa di Universitas Mercu Buana yang dibuktikan pada hasil nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.769 dengan alat bantu program SPSS 22 yang artinya semakin baik kesejahteraan subjektif yang dimiliki mahasiswa maka akan semakin tinggi future time perspective yang dimiliki pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini mahasiswa diharapkan memiliki kesejahteraan subjektif yang baik dengan itu mahsiswa dapat mengetahui seberapa pentingnya future time perspective atau pemikiran tentang masa depan.
