Abstract

Currently, the green concept is a trend for sustainable development in all sectors, including the construction material industry. The concrete industry plays an important role in the construction process as a supplier of concrete materials; therefore, its existence is essential. The role of ready-mix concrete has a negative impact on the environment. Green concept planning and construction is 10-20% more expensive than conventional buildings. Researcher applied the concept of green concrete industry to statistical analysis and case study with cost savings by combining value engineering (VE) and lifecycle cost analysis (LCCA) approaches. This research had an update on the concept of green retrofitting for concrete industry objects and examined influencing factors in the implementing the green concept using Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEMPLS) analysis and modeling of green retrofitting concepts based on VE and LCCA to improve green retrofitting cost performance. The results showed that there are “10 influencing factors on the green costs performance in the concrete industry” namely commitment management, energy & climate, water efficiency, secondary material, air quality, economic & financial availability, legal compliance & regulation, supporting rules, functional analysis, and environmental management. The implementing VE and LCCA methods was able to increase the cost performance of green retrofitting by 8.66% with a return of 3 years and 8 months with the benefits of being an eco-friendly and sustainable concrete industry. KEYWORDS: Green Batching Plant, SEM-PLS, Value Engineering (VE), Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), Cost Performance Konsep hijau saat ini merupakan trend pengembangan keberlanjutan disemua sektor, tidak terkecuali untuk industri material konstruksi. Industri beton berperan penting pada proses konstruksi sebagai pemasok material beton sehingga keberadaannya sangat dibutuhkan. Peranan ready mix concrete sendiri mempunyai dampak yang buruk terhadap lingkungan. Merencanakan dan membangun konsep hijau 10-20% lebih mahal daripada bangunan konvensional. Peneliti menerapkan konsep industri beton hijau ke analisis statistik dan studi kasus dengan hemat biaya dengan menggabungkan pendekatan value engineering (VE) dan lifecycle cost analysis (LCCA). Penelitian ini mempunyai keterbaruan terkait konsep green retrofitting untuk obyek industri beton serta mencari faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh dalam penerapan konsep green dengan menggunakan analisa Structural Equation Model- Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) dan pemodelan konsep green retrofitting berbasis VE dan LCCA untuk meningkatkan kinerja biaya green retrofitting. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh “10 faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kinerja biaya green pada industri beton ” yaitu comitment management, energy & climate, water efficiency, secondary material, air quality, economic & financial avaibility, legal compliance & regulation, aturan pendukung, functional analysis, dan environmental management. Penerapan metode VE dan LCCA mampu meningkatkan kinerja biaya green retrofitting tersebut sebesar 8.66% dengan pengembalian 3 tahun 8 bulan dengan memperoleh manfaat sebagai industri beton yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan.
