Abstract

This study aims to see the differences of group-based anger, group-based fear, and outgroup empathy towards refugees based on the gender of refugee. This study uses a modification group-based emotional scale created by Halperin and Porat. This research uses a quantitative with non-experimental comparative method with accidental sampling. The results of this study show significant differences of groupbased anger, group-based fear and out-group empathy based on the gender of refugee. The result shows there are higher group-based anger, group-based fear and out-group empathy towards male refugees than female refugees. Keywords: Group-Based Anger, Group-Based Fear, Empathy Out-group Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan rasa marah berbasis kelompok, takut berbasis kelompok, dan empati kelompok terhadap pengungsi, berdasarkan gender pengungsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan modifikasi skala Emosi Berbasis Kelompok yang dibuat oleh Halperin dan Porat. Penelitian ini menggunakan motode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode komparatif non-eksperimental dengan teknik accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan pada rasa marah berbasis kelompok, takut berbasis kelompok dan empati kelompok berdasarkan gender pengungsi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa lebih tinggi marah berbasis kelompok, takut berbasis kelompok dan empati kelompok terhadap pengungsi laki-laki daripada pengungsi perempuan.
