Abstract
The current development of the need for illustrative books on the type of religion related to fasting is very minimal, most religious books related to fasting are not illustrated but rather theories that bore the reader. With the illustration book aimed at making it easier for readers to understand and will be easier to understand when viewing the visual presented, the presence of illustration books related to fasting is very useful to help in-depth understanding of fasting for Muslim youth aged 12-16 years. Augmented Reality is a technology that combines two-dimensional and or three-dimensional virtual objects into a real three-dimensional environment and then projects these virtual objects in real time. Unlike virtual reality which completely replaces reality, Augmented Reality (AR) only adds or complements reality. Researchers utilize technology that is often used by teenagers, namely smartphones to attract teenagers to read illustrated books and apply them in the form of Augmented Reality (AR). Keywords: Ilustration Book, Muslim Youth, Augmentad Reality Perkembangan saat ini kebutuhan buku-buku ilustrasi jenis agama terkait puasa sangat minim, kebanyakan buku-buku agama terkait puasa tidak berilustrasi melainkan teori yang membuat bosan pembaca. Dengan adanya buku ilustrasi bertujuan untuk lebih mempermudah pemahaman pembaca dan akan lebih mudah mengerti ketika melihat visual yang disampaikan, hadirnya buku ilustrasi terkait puasa sangat bermanfaat untuk membantu pemahaman mendalam tentang puasa kepada remaja muslim usia 12-16 tahun. Augmented Reality merupakan teknologi yang menggabungkan benda maya dua dimensi dan ataupun tiga dimensi ke dalam sebuah lingkungan nyata tiga dimensi lalu memproyeksikan benda–benda maya tersebut dalam waktu nyata. Tidak seperti realitas maya yang sepenuhnya menggantikan kenyataan, namun Augmented Reality (AR) hanya menambahkan atau melengkapi kenyataan. Peneliti memanfaatkan teknologi yang sering digunakan oleh remaja yaitu Smartphone untuk menarik minat remaja membaca buku ilustrasi dan diterapkan dalam bentuk Augmented Reality (AR).
