Abstract
Bicycles become a means of healthy transportation, and are also in great demand by the whole world as a means of private vehicles. With the increasingly rapid development of a variety of changes in shape to change in bicycle material. Can be seen the development of the bicycle now has many changes, not only used as a means of transportation. But it also serves as a hobby, collection, sport and community. Children's bicycles with a lowrider concept that carries the theme of environmentally friendly, cultural and classic aesthetic values applied to bicycles can become a trend in the local market of Indonesia, with the application of rattan material as the main raw material in the production process so that the writer can participate in the development of rattan material designs which in some this decade has stagnated. Therefore, rattan bicycle products are needed as an innovation from rattan processed toys, namely piggybacks that can develop rattan material designs to meet the needs of children at 4-5 years of age and can make the best use of natural rattan raw materials in which Indonesia is the producer the biggest rattan in the world. Keywords: Rattan Bicycles, Lowrider, Rattan Webbing Sepeda menjadi sebuah alat transportasi yang sehat, dan juga banyak diminati oleh seluruh dunia sebagai sarana kendaraan pribadi. Dengan pekembangan yang semakin pesat banyak beragam perubahan bentuk hingga perubahan material sepeda. Dapat dilihat perkembangan sepeda sekarang telah banyak perubahan, bukan hanya dijadikan sebagai alat transportasi. Tetapi juga dijadikan sebagai hobi, koleksi, olah raga dan komunitas. Sepeda anak dengan konsep lowrider yang mengusung tema ramah lingkungan, budaya dan nilai estetika klasik yang diterapkan pada sepeda dapat menjadi tren pasar lokal Indonesia, dengan penerapan material rotan sebagai bahan baku utama pada proses produksi sehingga penulis bisa berpartisipasi dalam pengembangan desain material rotan yang dalam beberapa dekade ini mengalami stagnasi. Maka dari itu di perlukan produk sepeda rotan hasil inovasi dari mainan olahan rotan yaitu kuda-kudaan yang dapat mengembangkan desain material rotan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan anak-anak di usia 4-5 tahun serta dapat memanfaatkan bahan baku alam rotan sebaik mungkin yang dimana Indonesia sebagai penghasil terbesar rotan dunia.
