Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between couple’s love and the resilience of mothers who have children with special needs. Mother's resilience is interesting to study because the role of "mother" who never stops in the household, tends to be full of struggles. Especially with the presence of children with special needs. Love in the household is one of the factors that attracts the author's attention to be studied further. Participants consisted of 116 mothers with children with special needs. Obtained by purposive sampling technique. Mother's resilience was measured using the Resilience Quotient (RQ) scale and love was measured by the Triangular of Love (TLS) scale. The results showed (r=0.244 ; p=0.010) that there was a significant positive relationship between love (intimacy, passion and commitment) and resilience by mothers with children with special needs. The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between love (intimacy, passion and commitment) with the resilience by mothers with children with special needs. Key Words: Love, Resilience, Mothers who have children with special needs Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan cinta pasangan dengan resiliensi ibu yang memiliki anak berkebutuhan khusus. Resiliensi ibu menarik untuk ditelti karena peran “ibu” yang tidak pernah berhenti di dalam rumah tangga, cenderung penuh perjuangan. Terlebih dengan hadirnya anak berkebutuhan khusus. Cinta di dalam rumah tangga menjadi salah satu faktor yang menarik perhatian penulis untuk ditelitui lebih lanjut. Partisipan terdiri atas ibu-ibu dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus sebanyak 116. Diperoleh dengan cara teknik purposive sampling. Resiliensi ibu diukur dengan menggunakan skala Resilience Quotient (RQ) test dan cinta diukur dengan menggunakan skala Triangular of Love (TLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (r=0.244 ; p=0.010) terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara hubungan cinta (keintiman, gairah dan komitmen) dengan resiliensi ibu dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus. Kesimpulan ada hubungan signifikan cinta (keintiman, gairah dan komitmen) dengan resiliensi ibu dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus.
