Abstract

The Lean Manufacture approach is a systematic approach to identifying and eliminating waste in the form of activity that does not give more value (non-value added activities) through continuous improvement. The Nickel Slider production process that occurs in the Zipper Manufacturing Industry still often delay in production. This delay is happened from the waste during the production process. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the factors causing waste in the production and can provide suggestions for improvement through the Value Stream Mapping method. Based on the result of analysis. The problem can be solved by using the Lean Manufacture approach using kaizen brust in Value Stream Mapping with proposed improvements using several tools such as Line Balancing, Kanban System (Pull System), and Therblig maps. The result from this research is a 12% reduction in Value Added Time from 13735.56 seconds to 10804.75 seconds and reduction in Non Value Added Time by 45% from 18.5 days to 7 days so that the total production time reduction by 44%. Key Word : value stream mapping, kaizen,line balancing, kanban system (pull system), therblig maps. Pendekatan Lean Manufacture merupakan pendekatan sistematis untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengeliminasi pemborosan berupa aktivitas yang tidak memberi nilai lebih (non-value added activities) melalui perbaikan secara terus menerus. Pada proses produksi Slider Nikel yang terjadi pada Industri Manufaktur Ritsleting masih sering mengalami keterlambatan produksi. Hal tersebut terjadi karena adanya waste selama proses produksi berlangsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor – faktor penyebab waste yang terjadi serta dapat memberikan usulan perbaikan melalui metode Value Stream Mapping. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, permasalahan dapat diselesaikan menggunakan pendekatan Lean Manufacture menggunakan kaizen brust pada pemetaan Value Stream Mapping dengan usulan perbaikan menggunakan beberapa tools seperti Line Balancing, Sistem Kanban (Pull System), dan peta Therblig . Penelitian ini menghasilkan penurunan pada nilai Value Added Time sebesar 12% dari 13735,56 detik menjadi 10804,75 detik dan penuruan pada nilai Non Value Added Time sebesar 45% dari 18.5 hari menjadi 7 hari sehingga total waktu produksi mengalami penurunan sebesar 44%. Kata Kunci : value stream mapping, kaizen, line balancing, sistem kanban (pull system), peta therblig.
