Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain whether junior high school students in Tangerang City experience self-adjustment as a result of receiving social support. A questionnaire is used to collect data in a quantitative manner. The participants in this study were Tangerang City junior high school students. The convenience sampling method was used to select a sample of 412 individuals. A social support scale and an adjustment scale are used in this study. Spearman's Rho was used as the correlation test. The results of this study showed a value of .559 that was statistically significant (p < 0.01) with the help of JASP 0.16.3. This indicates that adjustment is positively correlated with social support. Keywords : Social Support, Self-adjustment Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara social support (dukungan sosial) dengan penyesuaian diri pada remaja SMP Kota Tangerang di masa transisi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah para remaja SMP yang ada di Kota Tangerang. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 412 orang dengan menggunakan metode convenience sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala dukungan sosial (social support) dan skala penyesuaian diri. Uji korelasi yang digunakan adalah Spearman’s Rho. Dengan bantuan JASP 0.16.3, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai signifikan sebesar .559 (p < 0,01). Sehingga hal tersebut memiliki arti adanya hubungan yang positif antara social support dengan penyesuaian diri. Kata kunci : Dukungan sosial, penyesuaian diri
