Abstract

The design of the workplace will depend on the type of work and the tools or facilities used to support the implementation of work operations. One of the jobs in PT. United Can Company is a job in the packing section. In this section three main activities are divided into the process of taking a can from a stacker, lifting the can from the stacker to the basket and putting the can into the basket. The results of the Standard Nordic Questionare questionnaire for canned packing were complaints of left shoulder pain, pain in back and waist pain 15.8% and 15.2%, thigh and calf pain (feet) 13.2% and 12.5 %, and wrists and arms with a percentage of 11.9% and 10.50%, respectively. While the results of the RULA Method are taking cans from the stacker to get a score of 4, lifting the can from the stacker to the basket to get a score of 6 and inserting the can into the basket to get a score of 7. Then the second and third movements must be repaired now. The improvements made are First limiting lift loads and the second is repairing facilities in the form of basket modification and addition of platform lifter. The results after the improvement of the RULA score changed so that for the activity element lifting the can from the stacker towards the RULA score basket to 3 and the activity of inserting the can into the basket got a score of 4. So that the repair of facilities can reduce ergonomic risk. Keywords ; RULA, ergonomics, repair of work facilities, Nordic. Desain tempat kerja akan sangat bergantung pada jenis pekerjaan dan alat atau fasilitas yang digunakan untuk menunjang pelaksanaan operasi kerja. Salah satu pekerjaan dalam PT. United Can Company adalah pekerjaan di bagian packing. Pada bagian ini dibagi tiga aktivitas utama yaitu proses mengambil kaleng dari stacker, mengangkat kaleng dari stacker menuju keranjang serta memasukkan kaleng ke dalam keranjang. Hasil dari kuesioner Standard Nordic Questionare untuk kegiatan packing kaleng terdapat keluhan sakit pada bahu kiri, sakit pada Sakit pada punggung dan pinggang 15,8% dan 15,2%, Sakit pada paha dan betis (kaki) 13,2% dan 12,5%, serta pergelangan tangan dan lengan dengan persentase berturut-turut 11,9 % dan 10,50%. Sedangkan hasil Metode RULA adalah mengambil kaleng dari stacker mendapatkan skor 4, mengangkat kaleng dari stacker menuju keranjang mendapatkan skor 6 serta memasukkan kaleng ke dalam keranjang mendapatkan skor 7. Maka untuk gerakan kedua dan ketiga harus dilakukan perbaikan sekarang juga. Perbaikan yang dilakukan adalah Pertama membatasi beban angkat dan yang kedua adalah perbaikan fasilitas berupa modifikasi keranjang dan penambahan lifter platform. Hasil setelah perbaikan skor RULA mengalami perubahan sehingga untuk elemen kegiatan mengangkat kaleng dari stacker menuju keranjang skor RULA menjadi 3 dan kegiatan memasukkan kaleng ke dalam keranjang mendapatkan skor 4. Sehingga perbaikan fasilitas yang dilakukan sudah dapat menurunkan resiko ergonomi. Kata kunci ; RULA, ergonomi, perbaikan fasilitas kerja, Nordic.
