Abstract
The presence of Korean dramas in the early 2000s and the inclusion of KPOP music in Indonesia made Indonesian people become familiar with Korean words or sentences that were often spoken in drama dialogues and from KPOP song lyrics that they often listened to. The ease of accessing the internet, visuals of the actors, actresses and idols and interesting storyline are reasons for someone to be interested in watching Korean dramas and becoming fans of the Hallyu wave. It is also believed to be a reason for the emergence of many Korean language learning institutions in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta. And it is evident that the interest of Indonesian people who want to learn Korean is increasing day by day. . The results of this research indicate that Korean dramas on the internet influences the interest in learning Korean. From the results of a simple correlation analysis, the correlation between the effect of Korean drama and interest in learning Korean is 0.461. Thus it can be said that there is a moderate correlation between the effect of Korean dramas on the internet (X) with an interest in learning Korean (Y). Key Words: Learning Korean Language, Korean Drama, Quantitative actor, aktris dan idol yang tampan serta jalan cerita yang menarik menjadi alasan seseorang untuk tertarik menonton drama Korea dan menjadi penggemar dari hallyu wave. Hal tersebut juga diyakini menjadi suatu alasan munculnya banyak lembaga pembelajaran bahasa Korea di Indonesia terutama di Jakarta. Dan terbukti minat dari masyarakat Indonesia yang ingin belajar bahasa Korea pun semakin hari semakin bertambah. . Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tayangan drama Korea di internet berpengaruh terhadap minat belajar bahasa Korea. Dari hasil analisis korelasi sederhana didapat korelasi antara pengaruh tayangan drama Korea dan minat belajar bahasa Korea adalah 0,461. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat korelasi sedang antara pengaruh tayangan drama korea di internet (X) dengan minat belajar bahasa Korea (Y).
