Abstract
Action figures are toy characters that pose, made of plastic or other materials and the characters taken are usually based on characters from movies, comics, video games, television shows and so on. Urban toys are a type of action figure designed and made directly by toy designers so that urban toys are produced in limited quantities. In this research, the character to be created is the famous super hero Gatotkaca from Indonesia who comes from wayang stories in Central Java. This research was made with the aim that people would become more familiar with the character of Gatotkaca through character toys such as action figure. Keywords: Urban Toys, Gatotkaca Action figure adalah mainan berkarakter yang berpose, terbuat dari plastik atau material lainnya dan karakter yang diambil biasanya berdasarkan tokoh film, komik, video game, acara televisi dan lain sebagainya. Urban toys adalah salah satu jenis action figure yang dirancang dan dibuat langsung oleh desainer mainan sehingga urban toys diproduksi dalam jumlah terbatas. Pada penelitian ini karakter yang ingin dibuat adalah Gatotkaca super hero terkenal asal Indonesia yang berasal dari cerita wayang di Jawa Tengah. Penelitian dibuat dengan tujuan agar masyarakat lebih mengenal karakter Gatotkaca melalui mainan berkarakter seperti Action Figure. Kata kunci : Urban Toys, Gatotkaca
