Abstract
In the current era of digital, telecommunications industry technology is growing rapidly and is contributing to the demands of innovation in the telecommunications operator business. One is the growing size change in identity card (sim) modules (sim) and the use of embedded technology (eSIM) on smartphones. There are many positive potentials that can benefit people's needs. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze operational risk faktors related to the changes in sim card technology to eSIM and risk mitigation appropriate changes in sim card technology to eSIM. Research methods are conducted qualitatively and quantitatively as a basis for risk analysis using ISO 31000:2018. The result of operational risk identification is possibility 14, consisting of 4 dimensions, which are as much as 2 possible risks to process failure, 5 possible risks to technological failure, 4 possible risks to external failure, and 3 possible risks to human resource failure. This research can be a reference to companies' operatic policies in transforming the sim card technology into eSIM. Keywords: eSIM, Operational risk, ISO 31000 Di era digital saat ini, teknologi industri telekomunikasi berkembang sangat pesat dan berdampak pada tuntutan inovasi di bisnis operator telekomunikasi. Salah satunya adalah perubahan ukuran model Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card yang semakin mengecil dan penggunaan teknologi embedded SIM (eSIM) pada smartphone. Ada banyak potensi positif yang bisa memberikan manfaat untuk kebutuhan masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktorfaktor risiko operasional terkait perubahan teknologi SIM card ke eSIM dan mitigasi risiko yang tepat terkait perubahan teknologi SIM card ke eSIM. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif sebagai dasar analisis risiko menggunakan ISO 31000:2018. Hasil dari identifikasi risiko operasional yang mungkin terjadi ada 14 terdiri dari 4 dimensi, yaitu sebanyak 2 kemungkinan risiko pada kegagalan proses, 5 kemungkinan risiko pada kegagalan teknologi, 4 kemungkinan risiko pada kegagalan eksternal, dan 3 kemungkinan risiko pada kegagalan sumber daya manusia. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi perusahaan-perusahaan operator dalam membuat kebijakan terkait adanya transformasi teknologi SIM card ke eSIM.
